Steel slag steel slag is a by-product of the steelmaking process.Comprehensive utilization of steel slag resources is an inevitable requirement for the sustainable development of steel production enterprises. The use of steel slag for the preparation of concrete pavement bricks is an important way to utilize steel slag.Based on the analysis of Baosteel's steel slag components and performance,a high-strength,high-permeability steel slag concrete paving block is prepared using a combination of strong vibration and vacuum processes. The influencing factors were systematically studied, and the product technology and production line equipment were investigated, and the economic and social benefits of product application were analyzed. The main research contents and results are as follows:?1?the chemical composition, mineral composition, stability and physical properties of the three types of drum steel slag were compared. The results show that the type A steel slag discharged from the electric furnace has high iron content and low free calcium oxide content,so it has excellent wear resistance, good volume stability, and high hardness value. It is an excellent material for producing high-strength and high-permeability concrete products.?2?the mechanical properties and water permeability of steel permeable concrete products were studied. The results show that the water ash of metallurgical steel slag pervious concrete is relatively small, the water permeability coefficient decreases with increasing water-cement ratio, and the flexural and compressive strength increases with increasing water-cement ratio, which is significantly different from ordinary concrete. In the same water-cement ratio, with the increase of the particle size of the steel slag aggregates, the water permeability coefficient increases significantly, but the flexural and compressive strength decreases.?3?high-strength steel slag pervious concrete was prepared by a combination of strong vibration and vacuum, and its performance was studied. The results show that the flexural strength and compressive strength of high-strength steel slag pervious concrete increase exponentially, the flexural strength is 2.47 times the flexural strength of ordinary rock aggregate permeable concrete, and the compressive strength is 3.49 which is the compressive strength of ordinary rock aggregate permeable concrete. At the same time, its frost resistance and water permeability are better than ordinary rock aggregate permeable concrete.?4?the steel slag concrete product production process includes raw material storage, preparation of concrete mix, product molding, product maintenance, and product stacking.A comparison was made between the performance of mechanical equipment of different manufacturers'production lines. The results show that the metering accuracy and accuracy of the batch mixing production line of the manufacturer B are relatively high.Although the productivity of the molding equipment and the stroke of the mold are lower than the other two manufacturers, the efficiency of the mold replacement and the post-cleaning are excellent, and the surface washing function of the product is also provided.Transport and palletizing devices are highly automated and stable,so they should be preferred when setting up factories.?5?the economic benefits and social benefits of slag pervious concrete products were analyzed and calculated. The results showed that every 1 m3 of high-strength,high-permeability steel slag concrete products produced can consume 2.38 tons of steel slag, reduce 47.1 kg of standard coal, reduce electricity consumption by 32.84 degrees, reduce CO2 emissions by 297 kg,and save natural resources by 1.68 tons.
