Lacquer is originated from China in the neolithic age more than seven thousand years ago.After Shang,Zhou and Song dynasty,various artistic forms and crafts types are developed including painting in gold,gold and sliver flushing-exposure workmanship,embossed lacquer,carved lacquer ware and inlay gold on the basis of the excellent craft of lacquering.Gone are the days at the height of splendour,and subsequently China began a lacquer painting movement in 1980 s,which opened a new process of traditional lacquer art.It not only allows lacquer arts,the origin of oriental art,to play a new role,but also extends the art creation ideas of lacquer arts.The development of lacquer arts to today is going to face new transformation and regeneration.Namely,it is necessary to use contemporary art standards for systematic evolution so that artists can create contemporary lacquer ware with the characteristics of history and times.And comprehensive lacquer is a concept category of modern lacquer art with two characteristics.First,the ensemble forming technology concept.The combination of the process concept of traditional lacquer ware and the contemporary art concept makes lacquer art “transformer”.From the first step of making the bottom,the prophetic creation begins.Second,the traditional lacquer craft technique is combined with modern materials to realize the diversification of configuration,thus producing new integrated lacquer media and new lacquer craft technology.These two points make creators of lacquer work out of traditional routine process,make the operation with the form of behavior,and pay more attention to the creativity of infinite dimension of works.The whole paper is divided into four parts.In the first part,combined with the contemporary background of lacquer craft and the concept of “miraculous brightness”put forward by Walter Benjamin,the feasibility of conversion from traditional lacquer tocomprehensive lacquer is discussed in the era of mechanical duplication.The second part is about the comprehensive improvement of the concept of lacquer craft,mainly exploring the conversion of the technology concept of traditional lacquer holistic molding to the technological concept of partial set forming of independent lacquer.The differentiation of the matrix into a small part of the lacquer ware can be understood as the assembly state of component arts and small lacquer.The third part introduces the comprehensive improvement of lacquer craft technique.It mainly combines self-creation practice as the main line,produces the redefinition of new media and technology by the integration of traditional material pedigree of lacquer ware and new material.It has a positive reference function to study the involvement of integrated media in lacquer ware and the creation of technical techniques.In the final part,the problems existing in the experimental exploration of comprehensive lacquer ware and the further development of lacquer ware are analyzed and prospected.In the new historical period,the traditional single technology is abandoned and the concept of art and design of lacquer itself is realized by the constructive concept of comprehensive lacquer.
