In recent years,the average concentration of PM2.5 in China has been decreasing year by year,while the average concentration of O3 has been increasing,and haze events still occur sometime.The sources of Volatile Organic Compounds?VOCs?which are important precursors of PM2.5 and O3 are numerous and complex.However,the current VOCs emissions characteristics in various industries are unclear,and there is a lack of systematic emission factors based on VOC components are scarce,understanding of the actual efficiency of current VOCs control technologies.Therefore,relevant research and analysis are urgently needed.This study was aimed at 10 typical enterprises in large industrial parks in the Yangtze River Delta region and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,and conducted research on VOCs emission characteristics,establlishment of emission factor pools,and VOCs emission reduction potential based on terminal control levels,aiming to provide some data support for subsequent VOCs emission inventory research and scientific advice on the implementation of VOCs emission reduction in the industry from the aspects of source control and terminal management.Firstly,according to the production process and emission link of the product,38fugitive sampling points and 23 organized sampling points were determined.The Summa canisters with internal wall deuteration were used to collect VOCs exhaust gas samples,and the gas chromatographic-mass spectrometer?GC-MS?was used to quantitatively analyze the concentration of VOCs.The quality control and guarantee of sample collection and laboratory analysis were mainly realized from instrument adjustment,sampling blank and parallel sample.Secondly,according to the results of quantitative analysis,a comprehensive analysis of VOCs emission characteristics was carried out from different enterprises,different products in the same enterprise,and different parts of production lines.There are significant differences in VOCs emission characteristics between different enterprises or between workshops producing different products within the same enterprise.The main VOCs emitted from different parts of the production line are related,and the VOCs discharged from each link are closely related to the raw materials and production processes.In view of the above research results,source control strategies were proposed from the aspects of raw material substitution,process control and VOCs monitoring.Finally,based on the quantitative analysis results,the annual VOCs emission of enterprises was estimated,and the emission factor database based on VOC components was established according to the activity level data.At the same time,the actual efficiency of different end-of-pipe treatment technologies was evaluated.It can be seen that the zeolite rotary RTO technology has the highest processing efficiency among the current control technologies of the enterprises.And referring to the current domestic technical guidelines on VOCs governance,the potential of VOCs emission reduction was predicted by comparing the emission reductions of the enterprises while maintaining the current technology or using the best available technologies,and estimating the emission reductions that can be achieved when all relevant industries in the country are popularized with the best available technologies.It can be seen that pharmaceutical enterprise A,dye enterprise E,plastic enterprise G,paint enterprise H paint spraying enterprise L and M can achive the total emission reduction of VOCs when adopting the highest efficiency technologies which were 1.35,1.13,2.17,1.03,2.59 and 7.69 times of the current total emission reduction by the current technology,respectively.When the highest effiency technologies is popularized in the pharmaceutical,pesticide,dye,coating and automobile spraying industries nationwide,a total of 2.011 million tons of VOCs emission reduction can be achieved,and the overall emission was only 4.0% of the original emissions.
