The lifetime of blast furnace has already been an important indicator for measuring the technology of puddling.The cooling stave is the main cooling equipment in blast furnace.The cooling performance and quality of the cooling stave play a vital role in the lifetime of blast furnace.Water pipe is placed in the noumenon of cooling stave.When the cooling stave is in work,the convective heat transfer between water and pipe wall can take away the heat.This process of conduct heat can also lower the temperatures and guarantee the structural strength of the brasque and the furnace shell.The using effect and lifetime of the cooling stave have a significant impact on the metallurgical industry.So ensure the smooth operation of blast furnace,improve the cooling stave's quality and extend the cooling stave's lifespan play a important role in blast furnace.In the case of equal circumference,special pipe(elliptical pipe,rectangular,regular hexagon,double circle pipe)have a greater heat transfer area ratio than the round tube.As the blast furnace is a one-sided cooling structure,select special pipe can improve the cooling capacity of the blast fumace.Elliptical tube's good heat transfer performance coupled with the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes,making elliptical tube heat ex-changer equipment more and more common in industrial production applications.The cooling water pipes were made into the seamless steel pipe with the elliptical cross section required by bending and mechanical pressing.The convective heat transfer between water and water pipes plays a vital role.The round tube is most common in cooling stave,and the research of round tube is perfect,but the elliptical pipes' coefficient of convective heat transfer is insufficient.The writer use the parameter of cooling stave to complete the heat transfer analysis.In this thesis,the writer select some elliptical pipes with proper ovality and using the correlation of criterion number to derive the expression of the convective heat transfer coefficient in different situations(laminar flow,transition flow,turbulent flow),so we can know the relationships between the coefficient of convective heat transfer and water speed.According to the theory of two dimensional heat transfer,a model was established for blast furnace.This model can be used for steady state heat transfer analysis.In the same time,the writer use the FLUENT(a simulation software)to simulate the running situation of blast furnace.In the end,by using the results of the analyses to prove the expressions are reliable.
