In the process of industrial operation,with the continuous circulation and consumption of cooling water,the harmful substances in it gradually increase,which is easy to cause corrosion,scaling and other hazards.The silicon content in the circulating water is too high,which will lead to colloidal silica scale and silicate scale.Formation.Once the silicon scale is formed,it is difficult to remove.The most common method for inhibiting silica scale in the industry is to add scale inhibitor.The following two scale inhibitors have been synthesized to have a certain effect on silicon scale.Binary carboxylic acid copolymers were synthesized using acrylic acid(AA)and n-tert-butyl acrylamide(TBAM)as monomers.The optimum synthesis conditions of copolymer were determined by single factor experiment.Five kinds of copolymers were synthesized by different monomer proportions,and compared with the commercially available scale inhibitor acumer-5000,the scale inhibition effect of colloidal scale inhibition and silicate scale inhibition was investigated,and the calcium scale inhibition performance and biotoxicity of the synthetic copolymers were studied.The results showed that the optimum synthesis condition is:temperature 90 ?,polymerization time 1 h,m(initiator):m(monomer)= 7%.The scale inhibition effect of the five copolymers was better than that of other copolymers.The five copolymers synthesized have better scale inhibition effect on colloidal silica scale.The scale inhibition effect of the 4#copolymer(AA:TBAM=60:40)was better than that of other copolymers,and was similar to that of acumer-5000.The scale inhibition rate of the 4#copolymer was up to 33%.The five kinds of copolymers synthesized have weak scale inhibition effect on magnesium silicate scale and calcium silicate scale.The scale inhibition rate of the five copolymers was between 94%and 99%for calcium sulfate and calcium phosphate,but not for calcium carbonate.According to the acute toxicity experiment of zebrafish,the addition of copolymer at 200mg/L had no effect on the life activities of zebrafish within 96h.Ternary carboxylic acid copolymers were synthesized by using acrylic acid(AA),2-acrylamide-2-methyl-propanesulfonic acid(AMPS)and n-tert-butyl acrylamide(TBAM)as monomers.1 h in polymerization temperature 90 ?,polymerization time.dosage of initiator is 7%under the experimental conditions of,six kinds of copolymer was synthesized according to the different ratio of monomers,inspects its resistance colloidal silica scaling and silicate scale effect,and sold in the market scale inhibitor Acumer-5000 are compared;Calcium scale inhibition and biotoxicity of synthetic copolymers were studied.The results showed that the six kinds of copolymers had obvious scale inhibition effect on colloidal silicon scale,magnesium silicate scale and calcium silicate scale,and the 2#copolymer(AA:AMPS:TBAM= 63:26:11)had the best scale inhibition effect,and was significantly superior to acumer-5000.2#copolymer can resist colloidal scale up to 40%,magnesium silicate scale up to 33%and calcium silicate scale up to 30%.The scale inhibition rate of the six copolymers was between 94%and 99%for calcium sulfate and calcium phosphate,but not for calcium carbonate.According to the acute toxicity experiment of zebrafish,the addition of copolymer at 600mg/L had no effect on the life activities of zebrafish within 96h.
