Resource Curse And Transformation And Development Of Silicon Based Industry In Fengyang County

Fengyang county is rich in quartz resources.Because of its large reserves and excellent quality,it enjoys a reputation both at home and abroad.The proven reserves are among the first in East China.In recent years,the resource-based industry in Fengyang has developed rapidly,and the annual production capacity of about 6000000 tons of quartz sand has been formed.Most of the quartz sand in eastern China is produced in Fengyang.With the development of economy,the silicon based industry relying on quartz resources has become the leading industry of Fengyang’ s county economy.In recent years,many experts and scholars have shown that the advantage of abundant natural resources in many regions does not make the economic development of a region sustained and healthy,but restricts the development of local economy.This phenomenon is called the "resource curse" effect.From the perspective of resource curse,this paper analyzes the transformation and development of silicon industry in Fengyang,and puts forward relevant suggestions and suggestions.The research is divided into three parts:the first part:the introduction of the theory and connotation of the resource curse,and the analysis of the transmission mechanism of the resource curse.The second part:from the economic basis,industrial structure,quartz sand mining industry,glass industry and other aspects of the analysis of the status of Fengyang silicon based industry,and Fengyang silicon based industry in the production cost,industrial level,talent innovation,ecological protection and other aspects of the existing problems.The third part:establish a model to verify the resource curse,select the index of resource abundance,human capital input,scientific and technological innovation level,system level,material capital input,manufacturing investment level and so on.The result of regression analysis shows that the curse effect of the silicon based industry resources in Fengyang county exists and builds up.In order to find out the causes of the effect of "resource curse" on the silicon based industry in Fengyang County,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote the transformation and development of silicon based industry in Fengyang county.Through the empirical study of the "resource curse" of the silicon based industry in Fengyang,it is concluded that the cause of the "resource curse"in the silicon based industry in Fengyang county is due to excessive dependence on the investment in manufacturing industry and the level of scientific and technological innovation in the mineral resources industry.Introducing talents and environmental governance to promote the transformation and upgrading of silicon based industries.
