The materials which can adjust their own functional material in the best condition to the environment,can be called intelligent material' characters.The sensing,driving,and controlling functions of intelligent materials can be rolled them in one to complete the corresponding action.The whole name of IPMC is Ion-exchange Polymer Metal Composite,The structure takes the Nafion membrane as the base material,and the metal electrode is plated on both sides of the substrate.Under the action of the electric membrane,the metal electrode is deformed and bent,which produces a certain driving force,so IPMC is a kind of intelligent material.The cycle of making the base membrane(Nafion membrane)is too long,and the process is complex.There is a new way to solve the problem.4D printing is an technology that uses 3D printing to prepare a smart material as the main component of orgnization.Using the characters of 3D printing technology which can be described by rapid manufacturing can solve these problems of long period,making the complex mold.This method can also enrich the shape structure of Nafion membrane.In this paper,we will focus on the solution of 3D Printing System's Critical Technology for the Intelligent Material of IPMC,especially printing the Nafion membrane.Firstly,in this paper,we will have a detailed introduction of the domestic and foreign research status of IPMC and 3D Printing Technology for Intelligent Materials,namely 4D printing technology.We also introduce the significance of the research topic and the overall design of the system.Secondly,on the basis of the overall design scheme,the system is modularized into several parts:piezoelectric nozzle's drive module,liquid supplying module,Temperature's control module,stepping motor's drive module,the main structure of the 3D printing,which is mainly involved the design of hardware circuit and software program;PID control algorithm is studied and used for temperature control;Simulating the injection process of nozzle using Fluent,and the research of embedded software Grbl on the application in the driving of stepping motor and how to use it to realize the path planning of the spray head.In this paper,the driving characteristics of the piezoelectric nozzle are analyzed,and the ideal power supply driving parameters are obtained;Analysis of the Nafion membrane films into the relationship between temperature and time.At last,the reasonable range of heating temperature for the experimental platform is determined and integration of the 3D printing system is completed.Finally,the experimental results are analyzed.The paper points out the parts which need to be specified in the experiment,which needs further improvement and the main contents for the further study.
