For a long time,the coal is the main energy in our country.Even in the 21st century,the proportion of coal energy in our country is still more than 60%.So,it is important to improve the utilization of coal resources.The most common methods of coal preparation are heavy-medium coal processing,jigging,coal flotation and coal preparation based on gamma ray.But these methods have the problems of high cost,high consumption of natural resources and serious environmental pollution.In order to solve these problems and improve the separation efficiency of coal,this thesis presents a new type of coal preparation,which is based on X-ray and optical fiber senor.The method of coal separation proposed in this thesis,is mainly based on X-ray imaging technology and the optical fiber sensor which is used to measure the thickness of coal and gangue;through the principle,which is the difference between coal and gangue in material composition and the difference in X-ray attenuation coefficient,the preparation system can be realized.In this thesis,the hardware environment of the system is built,which includes X-ray source,data acquisition card,detector board,optical fiber sensor,belt conveyor and host computer,and the software of the system is designed.In this thesis,coal and gangue is the research object,and through the X-ray irradiation,the attenuate X-ray signal will be detected by signal acquisition board,and the X-ray attenuation value of coal and gangue will also be got;to measure the thickness of coal and gangue by the optical fiber displacement sensor,and with the thickness and the X-ray attenuation images data,it is concluded that identifying information.Compared with the single X-ray identification method,this method will reduce the effect of coal and gangue thickness on the recognition accuracy and improve the recognition accuracy of coal and gangue.The coal preparation introduced in this thesis has broad application prospect,and also has the characteristics of low investment,low processing cost,high recovery rate,no pollution,quick effect and so on.The sorting system can also improve the separation efficiency of coal and gangue.In addition,the method introduced in this thesis is simple and can save the costs of coal preparation.
