In the development and application of textiles,it involves a lot of questions about heat transfer, and it is very necessary to measure the thermal conductivity parameters of textiles efficiently and accurately. The Transient Plane Source(TPS)method is a transient test method for measuring the thermal conductivity of materials. The method has the advantages of fast measurement speed, high measurement accuracy and wide measurement range. The paper firstly deduces the basic theoretical principle of the Transient Plane Source method, introduces the basic composition of the Transient Planar Source instrument, the probe characteristics and the test process, and selects the different probes of the Transient Plane Source method for the aramid 1313/1414 spunlace nonwovens. The thermal conductivity of the nonwoven fabric was tested, and a comparative experiment was conducted using a heat flow instrument to determine the film probe suitable for testing the thermal conductivity of the textile. Then, the thermal conductivity of cotton, hemp, silk and wool plain fabrics at different temperatures was tested and studied using a film probe. Finally, the thermal conductivity of high performance fabrics was tested in high and low temperature environments, and the law of thermal conductivity variation was explored. The research conclusions are as follows:1.It is clear that the 7280 film probe is suitable for testing the thermal conductivity of fabrics;2.Using 7280 film probe to test the thermal conductivity of cotton, linen, silk and wool plain weave fabric at different temperatures: the thermal conductivity of fabric is positively correlated with temperature in the test temperature range(-20~100 °C).In the test temperature range, with the increase of temperature, the thermal conductivity of cotton, linen, silk and wool fabrics increases gradually, and the silk fabric has the lowest thermal conductivity in low temperature environment, which has better heat preservation and heat insulation.3.Studied the thermal conductivity of typical technical textiles at high and low temperatures. The thermal conductivity of inorganic fiber fabrics and aramid fiberfabrics increases with the increase of temperature when the ambient temperature is less than 100 °C.When the ambient temperature is higher than 100 °C,the thermal conductivity of inorganic fiber fabrics decreases with the increase of temperature, while the thermal conductivity of aramid fiber fabrics decreases.Among inorganic fibers, glass fibers have better heat retention, and aramid 1313 fibers have better heat retention than glass fibers;the thermal conductivity of inorganic fibers decreases with the increase of temperature when the ambient temperature is above 100 °C,and the thermal conductivity of carbon fibers reaches the maximum when the ambient temperature is 100 °C.At this temperature, carbon fibers are easier to dissipate heat.
