Cellulose is the most abundant natural polymer polysaccharide in nature.Cellulose xanthate is a derivative of cellulose.It is an intermediate product in the preparation of industrial viscose fiber.China is a big country with viscose production capacity.Cellulose xanthate is an economical material and is biocompatible,renewable and environmentally friendly.The use of the material for oil-absorbing and heavy metal ion adsorption has certain application value in the environmental field.In this paper,the aerogel was prepared by using cellulose xanthate.It was found that the KC-induced gel had a good influence on the gel volume shrinkage,structure,density and oil absorption of the cellulose xanthate aerogel.Cellulose xanthate aerogel produces a three-dimensional network structure with a density reduced to 76.8314.94 mg/cm3,and improves its oil absorption performance.It can absorb 11.5 times its own weight of edible oil and has the potential to become an oil absorbing material.The optimal preparation conditions of magnesium cellulose xanthate powder materials were studied by orthogonal design of Taguchi design.It was found that the optimum preparation conditions were 20? and MgS04 mass fraction of 15%,and the reaction time is 5 min according to the yield of materials and the adsorption amount of copper ions.According to the results of scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction,the magnesium cellulose xanthate powder material forms a nanowhisker and nano-wafer structure,and has a fiber type II crystal structure.The nanowhisker and nanochip structure have a fiber type II crystal structure.By studying the adsorption performance of cellulose xanthate powder on heavy metal ions,it was found that it has excellent adsorption effect on copper ions and cadmium ions and their mixed solutions.The adsorption capacity of 100 mg/L cadmium ion solution can reach 94.57±1.41 mg/g,and the removal efficiency reaches to 99.85%,The removal rate of 10 mg/L cadmium ion solution can reach 99.50%,and the effluent concentration is far lower than the industrial wastewater discharge standard.The adsorption capacity of copper ions can reach 877.56±96.75 mg/g,which is higher in the existing literature.The effluent concentration of 100 mg/L copper ion solution is far lower than the industrial wastewater discharge standard.When copper and cadmium were mixed and adsorbed,the adsorption amount of copper ions reached 562.13±0.02 mg/g,the adsorption amount of cadmium ions reached 7.37±0.42 mg/g,and the average removal rate of copper ions reached 99.9%.The optimal adsorption pH of the magnesium cellulose xanthate powder material is 4-5,and its adsorption kinetic behavior accords with the pseudo second-order rate equation,adsorption process is affected by chemical mechanism.Cellulose magnesium xanthate is expected to be an adsorbent material for a variety of heavy metals with potential.
