Hydrogen is easy to store and transfer,which makes hydrogen stand out in all kinds of energy carriers.The method for preparing the hydrogen by the electrolysis of the water is convenient and environment-friendly,so it on the rise by the people.The improvement of transition metal oxides is one of the hotspots in the field of replacing precious metal electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution recction.Therefore,a new type of high performance catalyst for hydrogen evolution under alkaline condition will be obtained by studying the transition metal oxides.The main contents of this thesis are the synthesis of nickel oxide film and the improvement of it to obtain the new material and study its hydrogen evolution activity.Firstly,this work studied the hydrogen evolution properties of nickel oxide thin films prepared by magnetron sputtering with different ratios of nickel and oxygen atoms.The amorphous nickel oxide prepared by magnetron sputtering was annealed and the content of oxygen in annealed gas was changed to obtain nickel oxide films with different proportion of nickel and oxygen atoms.With the decrease of oxygen content in annealed gas,the oxygen content on the surface of nickel oxide film is gradually less,and the ratio of nickel to oxygen atom increases gradually,and the valence state of nickel will transfer to the low-valence state with the decrease of oxygen content in annealed gas,and the hydrogen evolution performance of nickel film is tested under alkaline condition.The hydrogen evolution properties of the materials were gradually enhanced.Secondly,This work studied the hydrogen evolution performance of nickel and nickel oxide co-deposited monocrystalline films by pulsed laser deposition.Single crystal nickel oxide thin film material was prepared by pulsed laser deposition,and the pressure in the growth chamber was reduced to obtain nickel and nickel oxide co-deposited monocrystalline film material.Different proportions of nickel and nickel oxide co-deposited monocrystalline thin films were obtained by vacuum annealing of two kinds of materials.The hydrogen evolution performance of the composite film was tested under alkaline condition.With the decrease of nickel oxide content on the surface of single crystal composite film and the increase of zero valence nickel content,the hydrogen evolution performance of the composite film was improved.
