Rockburst is a common disaster in coal mining engineering, and it is a great challenge to be overcame urgently in the mining. In complex geological structures such as faults and folds, stress is concentrated, rock pressure appears intense during mining, and rockburst occurs frequently. Therefore,it is significant to research on the impact of faults and folds on rockburst. In this paper, numerical simulation and theoretical analysis are used to study the risk of rock burst during mining in faults and folds, the main contents are as follows:(1)By means of numerical simulation, the variation trend of stress and displacement at different locations of fault plane is studied when the working face is advancing towards fault, and the activation regulation of fault instability is revealed.(2)The deflection and concentration of the maximum principal stress near the fault caused by mining stress are mainly studied, and then the process of fault slip is triggered.(3)Based on viscoelastic beam theory, the deflection bending moment and shear force of coal seam after folding under the action of tectonic stress and overlying strata are analyzed. It shows that folding is controlled by gravity stress and tectonic stress, and is related to the size and creep characteristics of rock strata.(4)Through numerical simulation, the distribution regulation of fold stress field is studied, the stress concentration in front of roof, floor and coal wall of working face is compared under different mining modes, and the suggestions of safe mining measures are proposed.(5)The prediction and prevention of rock burst under tectonic stress are introduced in detail by citing relevant engineering examples.
