With the development of mankind and the advancement of science and technology, the damage to the environment has become increasingly serious. It is imperative to control the emission of carbon dioxide and protect the environment. The need to address the negative impact of these changes and problems is also becoming more urgent. The marine carbon cycle is an important part of the global carbon cycle. It is essential to understand and master the biogeochemical processes of the marine carbon cycle. The study of carbon sinks is the most important part of the marine carbon cycle, which has a significant effect on controlling carbon dioxide throughout the atmosphere.Due to the complexity of hydrology, frequent human life, physiological activities, and marine aquaculture in offshore waters, the carbon sink process is extremely complicated. Therefore, understanding the mechanism and role of carbon sinks has great significance to future marine aquaculture and the global environment. In particular, the carbon cycle of offshore aquaculture is controlled by variable environmental conditions and complex regulation mechanisms,a complete set of observation techniques, analysis and calculation methods suitable for marine carbon sequestration estimation in aquaculture sea areas are established. To build a"fishery carbon sink"calculation index system to serve China's carbon"emissions reduction","increasing sink"national demand. In this regard, use of Mytilus coruscus and Gracilaria lemaneiformis as research objects in the Dongjin Island culture area of Zhoushan City through polyculture to find the most suitable proportion of carbon sink expansion.Analysis and determination of carbon sinks in mussel culture areas and water quality conditions affecting the carbon sinks of mussels and algae.Based on the above experiments and methods, the results show that the whole of the aquaculture area in Dongji Island,Zhoushan,is a sink of carbon dioxide, and is related to the number of cultures and cultivation time.Factors such as DO,pH and temperature in the water have an impact on the carbon sequestration and carbon sink capacity of marine organisms. For example, eutrophication of water makes red tide to cause a decrease in dissolved oxygen in water, which greatly reduces the ability of organisms to carbon sequestration and carbon sinks.Ocean acidification and marine pollution can also adversely affect the health of living things.Through experiments on the polyculture, when the Mytilus coruscus and Gracilaria lemaneiformis were cultured in a ratio of 1:0.15 and 1:0.3,the final CO2 concentration in seawater was 5.5 times and2.2 times, respectively,at a ratio of 1:0.45.Therefore,the concentration of CO2 that calculated at a ratio of 1:0.45 obtained a fastest decreasing trend, and the removal rate reached 91.13%.So it will help to absorb CO2 in seawater by selecting the proportion of 1:0.45 in an algae-shellfish polyculture, and it can more efficiently amplify carbon sinks.
