In drilling engineering,well trajectory planning is the core content of drilling technology research,which directly affects the production of oil wells and the economic benefits of oil fields.Well trajectory planning includes well trajectory design and well trajectory optimization.Generally,the three-dimensional well trajectory design is complicated by the trajectory profile,which makes it difficult to achieve accurate trajectory of the trajectory under the constraints of conventional design methods.The traditional well trajectory design software is not only complicated in operation but also inefficient in calculation.Therefore,it is very important to seek a safer and more efficient well trajectory planning method for the development of oilfield drilling technology.Based on a large number of researches on ant colony algorithm and well trajectory planning methods at home and abroad,this thesis proposes a well trajectory planning method based on ant colony algorithm.Firstly,the minimum squared sum of the borehole trajectory coordinates is taken as the objective function,the well depth increment,the well angle and the azimuth angle are the constraints,and the well trajectory planning constraint equation in the three-dimensional continuous space based on the natural parameter curve is established.Secondly,in the range of well depth increment,well angle and azimuth angle,the three-dimensional continuous space is discretized by unequal-length grids for ant colony algorithm.Then the improved ant colony algorithm is applied to the well trajectory planning to solve the well trajectory planning constraint equation.According to the needs of drilling technicians,a wellbore trajectory planning system was designed and developed in combination with this method.The system is applied in the oilfield.The application results show that the improved ant colony algorithm has higher optimization efficiency and good solution accuracy in well trajectory planning,which can provide scientific and effective support for engineering designers.
