New organic luminescent materials that have been widely used in industrial and scientific research,such as sensor,display,probe and solar cell,are becoming more and more important in nowaday society.In this thesis,a series of bipolar host materials and organic room-temperature phosphorescent materials based on pyrimidine have been designed and synthesized,of which thermostability,single crystal diffraction,UV-vis,and photoluminescence properties have been studied as well.In chapter one,four novel bipolar pyrimidine-based host materials are reported.These compounds exhibit excellent thermal stability,which the decomposition temperature with 5%weight-loss are measured as 339?,329?,370? and 369? for 1Cz-5-2Md,1Cz-2-2Md,2Cz-5-Md and 2Cz-2-Md,respectively.Owing to their high triplet energy level(Et),which are estimated by density functional theory on B31yp method with 6-31G*basis,these compounds are advantageous as host materials for blue dopant emitters.Chapter two elucidates four novel pyrimidine-based organic room-temperature phosphorescencet materials.Steady-state luminescence and phosphorescence spectra are observed with phosphorescent emission ranging from 500 nm to 600 nm.Contrast to relatively short lifetime expectancy of Cz-PPM and Cz-BPM,both of which are around 0.17 s,the lifetime of Cz-HPM and Cz-MPM notably approach up to 0.967 s and 1.37 s,respectively.Intriguingly,Cz-BPM exhibits vivid afterglow even in during the day,different from most of organic room-temperature phosphorescent materials which reported as afterglow in the dark In order to further exploit the application of these materials,we adopted Cz-MPM to investigate the application of such in the field of anti-counterfeiting.Studies show that these pyrimidine-based organic room-temperature phosphorescent materials are promising anti-counterfeit materials.
