Diamond and cubic boron nitride are superhard materials with excellent properties.Cubic boron nitride performs well in machining and cutting tools.Diamond is widely used in petroleum,geological drilling and other industries.This paper attempts to combine the excellent properties of the two,using cubic boron nitride,titanium plated diamond and a variety of binders as raw materials,using high temperature and high pressure sintering method,to prepare a polycrystalline cubic boron nitride as the matrix,diamond particles as the wear-resistant phase of the composite material(PcBN-dia)to adapt to the drilling of deep hole hard rock under complex conditions.Experimental parameters for: 5 ~ 6 GPa pressure,temperature of 1400 ~ 1500 ?,holding time control in the 1000 s,PcBN-dia compound new materials is prepared.SEM,XRD,EDS and Raman spectroscopy were used to analyze the microstructure,phase composition and interface combination of the composites,and the microhardness,wear resistance,heat resistance and impact resistance of the composites were tested.The results show that the diamond particles are well distributed in the cubic boron nitride matrix,and the diamond is not graphitized.The interface between the PcBN matrix and the diamond particles is tightly bound,and the interface contains compounds such as TiN,AlN and TiB2,which is conducive to the solid inclusion of the PcBN matrix on the diamond particles.The microhardness of the PcBN matrix is about 40 GPa,PcBN-dia composites relative standard silicon carbide grinding wheel wear than in 45163,is 1148 ? heat resistance,and has good shock resistance.Compared with traditional metal matrix-diamond composite materials,PDC and PcBN,some performance indexes of PcBN-dia have unique advantages and are expected to be applied in the fields of geological drilling,petroleum and natural gas drilling and stone processing.
