In the 40 anniversary of reform and opening up,China's economic strength continues to improve, but the one-sided pursuit of economic growth,so that the environmental and resource problems seriously deteriorated.Since the 18,the party has put forward a series of new ideas on ecological civilization and a new strategy, which has deepened its understanding of economic development and environmental protection. It is of great practical significance for China to develop low carbon economy and promote the construction of ecological civilization to study the difference of the influence of different types of environmental regulation on carbon productivity in China's province,to guide the management direction of carbon emission reduction in various provinces and cities, and to continuously improve carbon productivity.Based on the estimation of carbon productivity in China in the 2000-2016 years, this paper first studies and clarifies the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of carbon productivity in China by using geographical methods such as linear tendency estimation, exploratory spatial analysis, spatial agglomeration analysis and standard deviation elliptic analysis. Then, the spatial scale effect is included, and the spatial difference of the influence of different types of environmental regulation on carbon productivity is explored by using the hybrid geo-weighted regression model. Finally,a spatial metering model is constructed to analyze the spatial spillover effects of different types of environmental regulations on carbon productivity. The following conclusions are obtained:(1)The growth trend of carbon productivity in China is significantly different, the growth rate from southeast to northwest has gradually slowed down, and the difference of its growth trend is closely related to the economic development speed and energy structure difference between regions.(2)There is a significant spatial correlation between China's provincial carbon productivity, the high-high agglomeration type and the low-low agglomeration region are gradually decreasing, the overall spatial distribution pattern tends to concentrate gradually, and its spatial distribution pattern is significantly related to the difference of regional economic development level.(3)Command control type and market incentive environment regulation can promote the increase of carbon productivity, and the influence degree of public participation environmental regulation is minimal. In addition, the effect of market incentive environmental regulation has significant spatial differences between different provincial domains.(4)The positive spatial spillover effect of market incentive environmental regulation is significant, which can enhance the carbon productivity of neighboring provinces, and there is no spatial spillover effect in command control type and market incentive environment regulation. Finally, according to the conclusion of the study, this paper puts forward some policy suggestions on the development of regional differentiated environmental regulation and the enhancement of carbon productivity, and points out the shortcomings of this study and the research direction of the follow-up.
