Organic dyes have attracted more and more attentions due to their high molar extinction coefficient, low cost, easy degradation, low toxicity, and more important, tunable chemical structure and properties. As one of the most important factors, energy level affects multiple properties of the dye. However,by now, there are still many drawbacks in the optimization of energy level:HOMO and LUMO levels generally shift together during the optimization. Therefore,it is urgent to realize the selective energy level control for the further development of organic dyes.In this paper, indoline donors with good planarity are synthesized, four D-A-?-A organic dyes?CS-31-CS-34?are designed and synthesized.Their photochemical, electrochemical and photovoltaic properties are studied in detail. In chapter 1,the classification and characteristics of the dye sensitizers are reviewed, and the research progress of the organic sensitizers has been introduced in the past decade. In chapter 2,we use benzothiadiazole as the auxiliary acceptor, indoline as donor, the benzene as the?-bridge and the carboxyl as the acceptor, two new D-A-?-A type sensitizers are designed and synthesized. The twisted indoline donor is planarized by Grignard reagent, cyclization reaction,et al.The structure of CS-31 and CS-32 are characterized by 1H NMR and13C NMR,and the photophysical, electrochemical and photovoltaic properties of theirs are characterized. In chapter 3,on the basis of CS-32,the dye CS-33 and CS-34 are synthesized by changing the alkyl chain, and the structure of the CS-31 and CS-32 are characterized by 1H NMR and 13C NMR,and the photophysical, electrochemical and preliminary photovoltaic properties of the are studied. In chapter 4,conclusion.
