Research On The Technology Of Yue Kiln Celadon In The Three Kingdoms Period Of Wu

Since the birth of mature porcelain in the Eastern Han dynasty,porcelain gradually replaced bronze and lacquer as the main daily utensils.Because of the steady rule of the Sun Wu regime with the prevailing trend of the lavish burial custom,the ceramic manufacturing industry had been innovatively developed in the Three Kingdoms period of Wu,which was of great significance to the further prosperity of the celadon of Yue kiln.However,the research on the development of celadon technology of Yue kiln in The Three Kingdoms period is very few.and the attention is insufficient.In order to explore the technology development of celadon in Yue kiln in The Three Kingdoms,the celadon of Yue kiln in this period is studied and discussed from many aspects in this article by means of literature review.archaeological survey as well as science and technology method.The research content includes its shape and pattern,making process,the structure of furnace,firing technology,celadon structure and formula.Through the preliminary study,it is found that the celadon of Yue kiln in The Three Kingdoms period was rich in modeling types,unique in decoration styles such as animalization and with pattern belt.And it has distinctive features of The Times.The Modeling and glazing process is skilled and flexible,and the level of technology is superb.In the furnace structure,a new "slow ahead and steep behind" kiln floor shape was created,which laid the basic structure of the dragon kiln.And the quality of body and glaze is improved,the glaze surface is smooth,the transparency is high,the glaze layer is thin,and the combination between body and glaze is tight.But the body texture is relatively loose with more stomata.The formula of celadon in Yue kiln of three kingdoms is relatively stable,The porcelain body belongs to the high silicon and low aluminum porcelain,and the glaze is high calcium glaze.To sum up,the celadon of Yue kiln in The Three Kingdoms period achieved many innovations and developments in terms of technology,forming the unique style of this era.It was the first peak period in the development history of celadon in Yue kiln.
