The performance of the electrolyte has a crucial impact on the overall performance of the supercapacitor.A good electrolyte can greatly improve the energy density,cycle stability and other important properties of the supercapacitor.Therefore,the preference of the electrolyte is extremely important for the supercapacitor.The influence of electrolyte on electrolyte is also very important.The electrochemical properties of electrolytes with different structures have obvious differences.Therefore,a novel electrolyte with rigid cage-like stable structure is screened and synthesized:N,N-dimethyl-N-ethyladamantane ammonium tetrafluoroborate?abbreviated as DMEA-BF4?and applied to supercapacitors explored the supercapacitor properties of this electrolyte.The main content of this paper contains the following parts:?1?N,N-dimethyl-N-ethyladamantane ammonium tetrafluoride was successfully prepared by echweiler-clarke reaction and alkylation and ion exchange using amantadine with rigid cage structure as matrix.The new quaternary ammonium salt of boric acid was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.It was found to be the target product through experimental analysis.The reaction was optimized by adjusting the temperature,time and pH of the reaction,and the optimal reaction conditions were obtained.?2?The prepared N,N-dimethyl-N-ethyladamantane ammonium tetrafluoroborate is mixed with the common solvent of propylene carbonate?PC?and acetonitrile?AN?,which are commonly used in supercapacitors,to prepare different concentrations organic electrolyte.The supercapacitor properties of the electrolyte were investigated using common activated carbon electrodes.It is found through experiments that the specific capacitance of the acetonitrile electrolyte can reach 132.35 F·g-1 and the energy density can reach 41.36 Wh·kg-1 under the test conditions of current density of 0.5 A·g-1.After 10,000 cycles,The cycle life can still retain91.52%of the initial capacity,while the propylene carbonate electrolytes are 102.04 F·g-1,31.89Wh·kg-1,93.24%,respectively.Both show superior electrochemical performance and good cycle stability.The two types of electrolytes have different characteristics,and the performance of the supercapacitor is best when AN is used as the solvent.In short,the new quaternary ammonium salt has good electrochemical stability,and has different degrees of improvement in terms of stability and cycle life,and provides a new idea for developing a new supercapacitor electrolyte.
