With the continuous development of science and technology, the number of motor vehicles keeps increasing.Automobile exhaust has become the main source of urban air pollution in China.Because of the complex traffic environment, the phenomenon of rapid deceleration and acceleration often occurs in the signalized intersection. As a result, the intersection has become an important area of high emission and high pollution in the traffic network. In order to mitigate the impact of urban traffic on the environment,it is necessary to quantify the exhaust emissions of vehicles with different driving behaviors at the intersection entrance. In this paper, based on the vehicle driving data measured by video speed measurement in the range of the entrance lane, the different driving behavior patterns of vehicles in the range of the entrance lane are divided.By using MOVES emission model, input vehicle operation data, vehicle age information and other parameters, simulate the emission data of three main pollutants(HC,CO,NOx)under different driving behaviors, and analyze the impact of three different driving behaviors on vehicle exhaust emissions.Firstly,a typical signalized intersection in Suzhou is selected as the research area, and the vehicle in the intersection entrance area is taken as the research object. The method of combining on-site observation with video recording is selected to collect the vehicle driving process in the research area.Based on the principle of video speed measurement, the driving data of vehicles in the research area are collected to prepare data for dividing driving behavior, and provide input parameter information for MOVES model to simulate emission data of vehicles under different driving behaviors.According to the vehicle driving data measured by video speed measurement method in the study area: vehicle instantaneous speed data and acceleration and deceleration characteristics, the driving behavior at the entrance of signalized intersection can be divided into three categories: uniform speed behavior, uniform speed-deceleration behavior and uniform speed-acceleration behavior.Secondly, based on the calculating principle of MOVES model at micro level, the input parameter information needed before the model simulation is clarified, and the relevant parameter information which affects the simulation results and is different from the input parameters of American users is localized. Finally, according to the localized modified MOVES model, the exhaust emission data of vehicles under three driving behaviors are simulated, and the exhaust emission rules under different driving behaviors are studied,so as to analyze the influence of different driving behaviors on the exhaust emission at the entrance of signalized intersection. The results show that the emission rates of HC,CO and NOx under uniform speedacceleration behavior are significantly higher than those under uniform speed behavior and uniform speed-deceleration behavior; The emission rate of HC under uniform speed is lower than that under uniform speed-deceleration;The emission rate of CO and NOx under constant speed is higher than that under constant speed-deceleration.According to the conclusions, this paper provides theoretical suggestions for drivers’ driving behaviors at the entrance of signalized intersection, and provides theoretical basis for traffic department’s theoretical decision-making.
