Fluorescent nanomaterials have excellent fluorescence properties and unique quantum size effects.They have broad application prospects in the fields of sensing,catalysis,biomarkers,fluorescence imaging,optoelectronic device design and so on.In this paper,fluorescent copper nanoclusters?Cu NCs?and fluorescent carbon quantum dots?CDs?were synthesized from some common household wastes and amino acid biological small molecules.Furthermore,the structures and properties of the as-prepared fluorescent nanomaterials were studied in detail.The contents were as follows:1.The natural eggshell membrane?ESM?were firstly used as reaction platform to prepare orange or red fluorescent copper nanoclusters embedded in the ESM employing different synthetic routes.The synthetic strategies are simple,economical and practical.The as-prepared multifunctional fluorescent membranes have good chemical stability and photo stability.The fluorescent membrane prepared could be used as test strip for visual detection of mercury ion,and had good reduction catalysis for methylene blue degradation.In addition,the fluorescence surface patterning could be successfully realized based on the developed synthetic route,indicating that the technology has certain application prospects in anti-counterfeiting,information storage and so forth.2.Red fluorescent copper nanoclusters were prepared by one step method with L-cysteine as capping and reducing agent,and then dispersed well in ethylene glycol?EG?to obtain EG/Cys-CuNCs.The product has specific fluorescence quenching response to Cr2O72-,which could be served as Cr2O72-sensor with good selectivity and high sensitivity?LOD=7nM?.Significantly,the aqueous solution synthesis method could be extended to solid phase synthesis,and the orange emitting Cu NCs powders could be obtained simply by grinding the mixture of L-cysteine and CuSO4 powders.The operation is simple,time-saving and can produce large-scale solid Cu NCs powders.The fluorescent Cu NCs powder had been successfully applied to fabricate orange LED.3.A new type of water-soluble carbon quantum dots with blue fluorescence was synthesized by hydrotheromal method using apple peel as carbon source.Based on the inner filter effect?IFE?,a novel and highly sensitive sensor was developed for the determination of Cr2O72-,with a limit of detection as low as 0.73??.In addition,we used the laboratory tap water and well water from Suixi county as real samples for Cr2O72-analysis and the recoveries were satisfactory.Moreover,these fluorescent CDs had reversible response towards temperature and could be employed as a smart nanothermometer with fast response and high precision in broad temperature range from 5to 65?.
