Research On Legal Regulation Of Enviromental Protection Responsibility Of Transnational Corporations In China

Since the 1990 s,with the economic development,transnational corporations have become increasingly strong in economic strength,advanced in production technology,and increasingly influential in the international community,promoting the rapid development of national economy.However,due to the imperfection of the international legal regulation on the environmental protection responsibility of transnational corporations,some transnational corporations use the convenience provided by the loopholes to transfer pollution to developing countries with lower environmental protection standards.Some transnational corporations take active responsibility for environmental protection in their home countries,and even can completely avoid pollution.The branch of the host country can only meet the minimum standard stipulated by the law of environmental protection.As the promoter of international economic development,transnational corporations have promoted economic development and brought huge profits.However,they are also the destroyers of international ecological environment.There are many kinds of pollution,which are difficult to control and cause irreparable losses.They have aroused widespread concern in various countries and regions about transnational corporations' environmental violations.Under the background of economic globalization,transnational corporations control the world's foreign direct investment.The rapid development of overseas investment has led to new economic growth points.The environmental pollution caused by transnational corporations' investment in the world has aroused the attention of various countries.It is impossible for any country to develop its economy independently and not to connect with other countries,especially now China.Under the initiative of "the Belt and Road",multinational corporations' legal responsibility for environmental protection is a top priority.As a big developing country,China is closely linked with the world economy.Multinational corporations have important economic power,grasp the rich global economic resources,while creating huge economic benefits for the whole world.Some developed countries begin to attach importance to environmental protection in their economic development,improve their standards of legal responsibility for environmental protection and strengthen environmental supervision.Therefore,multinational corporations in developed countries with higher standards of environmental protection and perfect legal system of environmental protection begin to transfer pollution-intensive enterprises to developing countries with lower environmental standards and imperfect relevant legislative systems.The legal responsibility for environmental protection that the bank should undertake will cause damage to the environment of developing countries,including China.Based on this severe environmental situation,it is of great significance and practical value to study the legal regulation of environmental protection responsibility of transnational corporations.
