In recent years,with the continuous development of the global economy,air pollution incidents occur frequently,seriously affecting human normal life and property safety.At present,domestic and foreign scholars monitor the atmospheric environment of large and medium-sized cities based on various satellite data,but there are few studies on mining areas and transitional cities.High-resolution series satellites are earth observation satellites independently developed in China.Using domestic high-resolution satellites to monitor the atmospheric environment in mining areas and peripheral cities is significant for promoting the development of domestic satellites and monitoring the changes of air quality in mining areas and peripheral cities.In this paper,the aerosol optical depth(AOD)in Xuhuai mining area and its peripheral is retrieved using Gao fen-1(GF-1)WFV data based on dark target and dark blue algorithm,and the retrieval AOD is compared with AERNONET ground-based observation data to verify the retrieval accuracy.Based on the data of air pollution point sources and land use types in the study area,we could analysis the spatial and temporal characteristics of AOD in the study area,and the correlation between retrieved AOD and air quality data(AQI,PM2.5,PM10)was fitted with multiple regression models to determine the most suitable model.We analysis the relationship between AOD and meteorological factors(TEM,RHU,PRE and WIN)for a serious pollution event in the study time series.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Based on dark target algorithm and deep blue algorithm,the 200m resolution AOD retrieval in Xuhuai mining area and its peripheral from 2014 to 2017 is realized by using WFV data of GF-1 satellite.The comparison between retrieved AOD and AERONET ground data shows that there is a good correlation between AOD and site data.The correlation coefficient of dark target algorithm(R2)is 0.876,RMSE is 0.161,the correlation coe:fficient of deep blue algorithm(R2)is 0.899 and RMSE is 0.158.(2)The spatial distribution of AOD retrieval is basically the same in different periods.The high value areas of AOD are mostly distributed in densely populated urban areas with better economic development,with an average value of 2.0.The high AOD value area has similar spatial distribution characteristics with the point source data of air pollution.In the image,it is densely distributed in power plants,mining areas,construction projects and factories,and is shown as building area in land use types.In the low AOD value area,it is distributed in areas with less population distribution and high vegetation coverage,and in land use types,it is shown as forest land,cultivated land and water area.On the whole,the retrieval of AOD of winter by dark blue algorithm has a wider range of high-value areas,a larger AOD maximum value,reaching 2.4,and a smaller range of low-value areas than that in summer.(3)Pearson correlation analysis shows that AOD and air quality data(AQI,PM2 s and PM10)are significantly correlated.Pearson correlation coefficients of AOD and three parameters are respectively:The correlation coefficients between AOD and AQI are 0.667,0.683 for AOD and PM2.5,0.484 for AOD and PM10 by dark target algorithm;0.762 for AOD and AQI,0.752 for AOD and PM2 5,0.642 for AOD and PM10 by dark blue algorithm.By comparing the correlation coefficients(R2)of various fitting models,it can be concluded that the exponential model can better represent the relationship between AOD and AQI,the unitary quadratic model can better represent the relationship between AOD and PM2.5,and the unitary quadratic model can better represent the relationship between AOD and PM10.(4)This paper takes a serious pollution event as an example to analyze the relationship between the retrieval AOD and meteorological factors.The analysis results show that the increase of aerosol concentration during air pollution period will have a cooling effect on air temperature,which is positively correlated with relative humidity and inhibits precipitation generation.In addition,the high terrain and prevailing northwest wind of Xiangshan in the northwest of the study area may also be important conditions to hinder the diffusion of high-altitude aerosol particles.
