In order to prevent or mitigate the hazards caused by ship collision,the super large composite bumper is usually installed in the bridge piers and offshore platforms.But under the impact of medium and low energy,the whole bumper will be damaged.Once damaged,it must be replaced as a whole.In order to reduce the cost of repair after collision,this paper presents a gradient design of multi-layer GFRP corrugated reinforced polyurethane foam sandwich panels to achieve layer by layer failure.Multi-layer corrugated reinforced foam sandwich panels werer designed and fabricated,and quasi static pressure and drop hammer impact were carried out.The main tasks completed include:(1)In this paper,a multi-layer corrugated composite material reinforced foam sandwich panel is proposed.Through the design of the grooved VARI,the integrated preparation of multilayer corrugated reinforced foam sandwich panels was realized.(2)In order to study the quasi-static flat pressure performance,gradual 123 and 234 layer up and congruent 222 layer up of three layer corrugated polyurethane foam sandwich panels and single layer corrugated reinforced foam sandwich panels and pure foam structures were tested.The quasi-static pressure test was carried out and the quasi-static pressure simulation was carried out with the commercial finite element software Abaqus.The test results and simulation are in good agreement.(3)In order to study its dynamic response,low speed drop hammer impact tests on 123,234,222 layer up and pure foam structures were carried out,and the drop hammer impact simulation was carried out with Abaqus.The calculated results were basically consistent with the experimental results.(4)The numerical simulation results and experimental results show that the gradient design of multi-layer plates can accurately crush and absorb energy layer by layer in order from weak to strong,so that only the external weak layer crushes under the impact of medium and low energy,and the interior remains intact.The multi-layer plates with equal strength design have different failure modes in experiment and simulation.
