The creation of Terra Sigillata surface,such as the texture of veils,is the focus of Suzzy Balkert 's more than 20 years of creative research.The texture art features rich and natural,and is full of skill,showing the author's fine creative techniques and research attitude.As a Swiss contemporary ceramic artist,she is committed to the research and firing of traditional refined clay pottery,which has a positive impact on the inheritance and innovation of traditional ceramic culture.In this paper,the origin of the surface texture of refined clay pottery is taken as the main research object.From the four aspects of texture color,gloss,shape and level,combined with Suzzy Balkert to teach the firing technique,through finishing,experiment and analysis.The experimental results are thoroughly studied in depth.In this paper,the Suzzy Balkert firing process is analyzed in an all-round way,and the whole process of combing mud screening,refined cosmetic soil making,blank tire making,casting polishing,pottery firing method,kiln structure and kiln location,etc.Gradually and systematically analyze the causes of the surface texture of refined clay pottery.Through the research and exploration of this paper,it is possible to fully display this creative technique,so as to broaden the development space of the ceramic expression language,and have certain reference significance for the innovative application of domestic contemporary ceramic art.
