High viscosity is the main reason to limit the application of ionic liquid. Therefore, the study on the binary systems of some low-viscosity ionic liquids with organic solvents will further promote the development of the field of ionic liquids while improving the properties of binary systems.Imidazole ionic liquids and anions containing thiocyanic acid?SCN-?have properties of low viscosity and high conductivity. It is believed that ILs with ether on imidazole cation may have special properties than that with non-ether functionalized ionic liquids. In order to further study the properties of ether based ionic liquids,1-ethyl-3-?2-methoxyethyl?imidazole thiocyanate[C22O1IM][SCN]was prepared and characterized by 1H-NMR spectroscopy?13C-NMR spectroscopy and Mass spectrometry. The mass fraction of water and halogen?Br-?were also determined. The synthesized products were determined to be the target ionic liquids. The purity of the target ionic liquids are more than 0.99.Then,the values of density, surface tension and viscosity of binary systems for[C22O1IM][SCN]with alcohols?ethanol,1-propanol,2-propanol and 1-butanol?,were measured over the entire composition range?x1=0.0000-1.000?at T=?288.15 to318.15?K interval 5K.The density, surface tension and viscosity of binary systems change with mole fraction and temperature were discussed. In addition, the volume properties, surface properties and excess Gibbs energy of activation are calculated and discussed. The density, surface tension and viscosity of binary systems change with mole fraction and temperature were discussed. The thermal expansivity of binary systems is obtained by the relation between density and temperature. In addition, the volume properties, surface properties and excess Gibbs energy of activation are calculated and discussed.Derived properties such as molar volume, excess molar volume, molar surface Gibbs energy and excess molar surface Gibbs energy are obtained. The relationship between derivative properties and mole fraction and temperature is also discussed. The mole surface Gibbs energy with traditional E?tv?s equation associated to get a new E?tv?s equation. It is also applied to the binary systems of ionic liquid with alcohols, and calculated the mole surface entropy and molar surface enthalpy.Using the concept of relative viscosity calculated the excess Gibbs energy of activation.By using the concept of excess functions and values of Redlich-Kister parameters Ai,the molar volume, surface tension and viscosity of the binary systems were estimated, and the estimated results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.
