Buckwheat is rich in special nutrients,which has keeping health effects of lowering blood sugar and stabilizing blood pressure.Buckwheat has become a favorite food for consumers.The increasing market demand of buckwheat makes the research on husking of buckwheat more and more conceerned.The performance of different buckwheat varieties are different in the process of husking.At present,the quantitative effect of husking has not been considered in the breeding of buckwheat varieties.Therefore,this study selected three common buckwheat varieties in Western of Inner Mongolia.According to the different physical characteristics of different varieties and different shelling effects,the quantitative effecting test was earied out.The results are as follows:1.Buckwheat has uniform particle size,full and round grains,and there is a big difference between buckwheat and buckwheat rice,which is better in husking processing.The physical characteristics that have significant effects on buckwheat husking are as follows:Particle size distribution ratio,triaxial size,the difference of triaxial size between buckwheat and buckwheat rice,and the proportion of buckwheat rice in buckwheat grains.One-time husking rate and rice yield have significant effects on buckwheat husking.The factors affecting the husking of Meng 0208 buckwheat and Qingshui river buckwheat were analyzed in detail.The factors affecting the husking of buckwheat were found out,and the effects of each factor on husking were compared and analyzed.Furthermore,it provides operability for finding suitable buckwheat raw materials for processing buckwheat rice.It can provide quantitative evaluation reference for the breeding of buckwheat varieties.2.Established the factors that influence the husking process,such as buckwheat particle size distribution ratio A,triaxial size B,the difference between buckwheat and buckwheat rice in triaxial size C,the proportion of buckwheat rice in buckwheat grains D,one-time husking rate E and rice yield F and so on.The corresponding weight coefficient summarized by Long-tenm buckwheat rice processing experience practically.The Qb formula for quantitative evaluation of husking performance in buckwheat breeding was determined as follows:Qb=x1A+x2B+x3C+x4D+x5E+x6F.The formula can be used as a quantitative evaluation method of husking performance in the identification of buckwheat varieties.This evaluation method was used to calculate buckwheat which were Meng 0208 buckwheat,TQ1H2 buckwheat and Qingshui river buckwheat.The three buckwheat varieties,the better varieties were TQ1H2 buckwheat,Meng 0208 buckwheat and Qingshuihe buckwheat in turn.From the point of view of buckwheat husking processing,this study formulated a set of supplementary evaluation methods for buckwheat variety breeding and provided quantitative reference for buckwheat processing enterprises to purchase high-quality raw materials as well.
