Maying Coal Mine No.9 coal seam is 6.95m averagely;mining roadway adopts rock bolt anchor cable combination supporting method.Although anchor cable length reached 6m entering into stable stratum, roadway roof fall phenomena still happened occasionally.Targeted to Maying Mine high seam coal road breaking roof features and roadway roof falling specific situations, the paper utilizes the combination of theoretical analysis and field measurement to study long rock bolting support connecting methods and support parameters.By virtue of sampling of back rock core and exploration of stratum structure drilling,it studies back’s physical and mechanical property.According to roof stability classifications standards,it concludes back is Ⅲ type instability roof.In line with eiking rock bolt structure and performance parameter, combining broken rock zone field measurement conclusion,it designs the support parameter for eiking rock bolt and short rock bolt.Utilizing data stimulation approach,it compares and analyzes the surrounding rock of roadway plastic failure, displacement features and stress features variation regulations of three kinds support methods including all eiking rock bolts to support, all short rock bolts and combinations of long and short rock bolts. Finally,it makes eiking rock bolts industrial experiments as well as verifies its stress and displacement monitoring which shows fine effects. The research demonstrates that eiking rock bolts could cater to high steam mining 9103 roadway’ support demand and replace the anchor cable to reduce roadway support costs.
