As the third largest food crops in China,the planting area,acre yield and gross output of wheat are second only to rice and corn.Recently,resistant weeds appeared in wheat field as the reason that the use and the dosage of various chemical herbicides increased too much.Therefore,it is very urgent to research and development a high-efficient,low-toxic and environmental-friendly product.It can improve the utilization rate of the pesticide,protect the environment and realize the sustainable development of agriculture.This paper use Carfentrazone 40%WDG as an example.Through comparison and optimize the formulation and production process of Carfentrazone 40%WDG,to field test the activity of broadleaf grass and safety of this formulation in wheat field.1.Prepared Carfentrazone 40%WDG,physical and chemical index of the production are in accordance with the demands.Other formulations:Carfentrazone 40%EC,Carfentrazone 40%OD.2.The physical and chemical indexes were preliminaries determined through the formula selection of the data of suspension rate,dispersibility,wetting time,disintegration performance,pH value and stability of cold and hot storage.Result as follow:Suspension rate:choose of dispersing agent directly influenced the suspension and dispersion of Carfentrazone 40%WDG.The suspension rate of mainstream products in the market is about 85%,and the dispersion is about 88%.But the suspension rate can be increased to more than 92%,and the dispersion can be increased to more than 95%in this study,greatly improved the pesticide efficacy of this product.Wetting time:choose of wetting agent directly influenced wettability of Carfentrazone 40%WDG.Mainstream products in the market could be no more than 120s.But in this study,the wetting times could be controlled within 60s,greatly improved the efficiency and effect of this product.Disintegration performance:choose of disintegrating agent directly influenced disintegration and other indexes of Carfentrazone 40%WDG.Disintegration of mainstream products in the market is around 35 times.But in this study,disintegration of the product could be controlled within 20 times,greatly improved the efficiency and effect of this product.pH Value:pH value directly influenced the stability and decomposition of formulation.This study found that suspension rate,dispersion rate and decomposition rate of this formulation will be most stable when the pH value was controlled in 7-8.3.Process flow and technology of WDG were confirmed through systematic study.Results as follow:Carfentrazone is hard to processing and has a low melting point as it's a kind of sticky solid.This study found that physical and chemical indexes of Carfentrazone 40%WDG are most stable when use fumed silica as adsorbing agent.This study found that the best granulation temperature of Carfentrazone 40%WDG is below 20?.Continuous high temperature will lead to a bad granulation condition,pellet's sticking and hard to disintegrate.The best drying temperature of Carfentrazone 40%WDG is about 45? in this test.Lower temperature will lead to a lower content of water,high temperature will lead to instability,disintegrating unqualified and low suspension rate,etc.4.When testing safety of Carfentrazone 40%WDG,Carfentrazone 40%EC and Carfentrazone 40%OD by using a same dosage,results showed that damage of Carfentrazone 40%WDG is lowest and Carfentraozne 40%EC is highest.And damage caused by Carfentrazone 40%WDG does not affect growth.5.When testing safety and efficacy of Carfentrazone 40%WDG,Tribenuron-methyl 10%WP,MCPA 56%WP and fluroxypyr-meptyl 200g/L EC by using same a dosage,results showed that Carfentrazone 40%WDG is much safety and have a best control effect to broad-leaf weeds.
