Due to the less quantity and lower cost,the organic polymer demulsifier has been considered as one of the most advantageous polymer demulsifier,whereas its use in the treatment of wastewater from coal chemical industries still need some improvement.The components of wastewater from coal chemical industries are usually complex,and the concentrations of contaminants are quite high.Meanwhile,as the characteristics of the wastewater closely depends on the properties of coal and the coal chemical industries,it is very difficult to treat the wastewater from coal chemical industries.The polymerization methods for demulsifier include solution polymerization,inverse emulsion polymerization and inverse suspension method.The present work focus on the types of demulsifier,the preparation methods and its application in the wastewater treatment in coal chemical industries,which broadened the application of demulsifier.P(DMC-AM-SMA)and P(DMDAAC-AM-SMA)were synthesized by simple aqueous solution polymerization.By comparing the amount of reactants in the synthesis process of polymer demulsifier,it can be seen that the amount of hydrophobic monomer,cationic monomer and initiator in demulsifier components has the best value,and the concentration of demulsifier has a significant impact on the deoiling rate of coal chemical wastewater.Experiments show that the demulsifier has the best performance when the cationic degree is 20% and the hydrophobic monomer content is 1%.In the beaker experiment of P(DMC-AM-SMA)demulsification,the following conclusions can be drawn: the weight and molecular weight of the demulsifier synthesized by aqueous solution polymerization are mainly concentrated in about 600,000,and the synthesized demulsifier is basically consistent with the designed demulsifier in cationic degree.It is feasible to treat oily wastewater with self-made polymer demulsifier.The self-made polymer demulsifier with cationic degree of 20% and hydrophobic monomer content of 1% has the best demulsification performance.In the P(DMDAAC-AM-SMA)demulsification beaker experiment,the effect of cations content at 20% is better than that of demulsifiers with 10% and 30% cationic degree.This phenomenon can clearly show that cations have the best value in synthesis.The proportion of hydrophobic monomers is also an important indicator of synthesis.The content of hydrophobic monomers is also a parabolic image,and there is an optimum value.It is feasible to treat oily wastewater by self-made polymer demulsifier in air flotation experiment.When cationic degree is 20%,hydrophobic monomer content is 1%,self-made polymer flocculant P(AM-DMC-SMA)is controlled to 10 mg/L,slow stirring for 5 minutes,pH value is not adjusted,and pressure is kept above 0.4 MPa,the greatest oil removal efficiency can be achieved.The air flotation process can shorten the natural settling time of 30 minutes to 10 minutes,and also improve the oil removal efficiency.
