Those useful solid phases are the valuable secondary resource which includes a large amount of barite from the waste drilling fluid.Recycling these solid phases is an important way to protect our environment,otherwise,it will do harm to our environment.Therefore,the separation and recovery of barite in drilling fluid becomes an important subject in the field of circular and energy-saving economy.However,due to the phenomenon of serious mud in drilling fluid and the difficulty of the process of recycling,the reuse of these solid phases becomes more difficult.In this paper,the process scheme of separation and recovery of barite 1s carried out by hydrocyclone.Apart from it,the experiment analyses the bearing condition of particles under high concentration and derives the formula of free settlement and settlement of solid particles in centrifugal field 1s derived.Moreover,it explores the feasibility of using a hydrocyclone to recycle barite.The paper adopts the software Fluentl4.5 to make numerical simulation of the hydrocyclone.DDPM Model(Dense Discrete Phase Model)and Reynolds stress turbulence Model was used to explore the rules of inner flow field of the hydrocyclone and the separation performance under the change of inlet velocity,the diameter of the overflow,the diameter of the underflow and the material concentration,in order to obtaine the turbulence intensity distribution and particle trajectory in swirl field.By analyzing the material properties of drilling fluid,the test method is used to design and carry out single factor and orthogonal test.The influence rules of structural parameters and operation parameters on the separation performance can be analyses by the single factor experiment.Those factors of separation performance include the split ratio,the yield rate,recovery rate,and the content of the barite.The experimental results show that with the increasing of feeding pressure,the content of barite in the bottom flow and the recovery rate increase.With the diameter of the overflow increasing,the bottom collection efficiency decreases.At the same time,the barite content in the bottom flow increases and the recovery rate decreases.As the underflow pipe diameter increased,the bottom collection efficiency increased.the content of barite decreases and the recovery of barite increases.With the concentration of the material increasing,the bottom collection efficiency decreases slightly,the content of barite in the bottom increases and the recovery of barite decreases.Through orthogonal experiment,regarding the rate of barite recovery as the index,the paper analyses the primary and secondary relations among the influence of feed pressure,diameter of underflow,diameter of overflow mouth and material concentration on the separation performance.The best parameter combination 1s:feed concentration 1s 62%,feeding pressure is 0.4MPa,bottom flow diameter is 5 mm in diameter,and overflow outlet diameter is 6 mm.At this time,the content of the barite is 71%,the abortion rate is 55%,and the recovery rate of barite 1s 65%.On the basis of laboratory test,The pilot test device is designed and tested according to the requirements of 4t/h.The results are consistent with the experimental results.
