Calcium phosphate cement(CPC)has good biocompatibility and injectability.Under physiological conditions,it can be shaped into various shapes.The weakly crystalline hydroxyapatite formed by the hydration reaction in the solidified body is similar to the inorganic component of human bone tissue,and is a novel biomedical material with broad application prospects.At the same time,due to the low compressive strength of CPC,the mechanical strength requirements of human bone tissue cannot be met in many cases,which limits its application in load-bearing parts.Therefore,improving strength has become one of the focuses of CPC research.In this paper,a CPC/magnesium composite biomaterial was prepared by adding amorphous powder and Mg powder,and the reinforced CPC material was developed and its properties were characterized.Magnesium(Mg)is a light metal(1.74g/cm3),which is basically the same as the density of human bone(1.75g/cm3),has high specifIc strength and specific stiffness,and has good biocompatibility and biology.Degradability,bioactive ceramics include surface bioactive ceramics and bioabsorbable ceramics,also known as biodegradable ceramics.Bio-surface-active ceramics usually contain hydroxyl groups and can also be made porous.Biological tissues can grow into and form strong bonds with their surfaces.Bioabsorbable ceramics are characterized by partial or total absorption,which can induce new life in living organisms.Bone growth.Bioactive ceramics have osteoconductivity.As a scaffold,osteogenesis is performed on the surface of the bone.It can also act as a shell for various substances or to fill bone defects.Bioactive ceramics include bioactive glass,hydroxyapatite ceramics,and tricalcium phosphate ceramics.The subject selected is a tricalcium phosphate ceramic,namely(?-TCP),to prepare a CPC/magnesium composite.
