Fe-based amorphous alloys have a broad prospect of applications in function material and mechanical material due to their excellent soft magnetic characteristic,mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.Fe-based amorphous alloy could be employed as soft magnetic materials until it transforms into Nanocrystalline materials by heat treatment.The anneal process enhances the saturation magnetic density of Fe-based amorphous alloy.Therefore,the investigation of Fe-based amorphous alloy annealing condition and precipitation is significant.Copper?Cu?as an efficient inoculation was mixed into Fe-based amorphous alloy in this study.The effect of Cu addition on glass forming ability,soft magnetic properties and annealing precipitation of amorphous(Fe70Co6P4.8Si9.6B9.6)100-xCux?x=0.1,0.3,0.5?alloys was investigated.The magnetic moment of the(Fe70Co6P4.8Si4.8B9.6)100-xCux?x=0,0.1,0.3,0.5?amorphous alloys was calculated using the method of Bond Length Difference?BLD?of the Empirical Electron Theory of Solids and Molecules?EET?.The main results are as follows:?1?(Fe70Co6P4.8Si9.6B9.6)100-xCux?x=0,0.1,0.3,0.5?amorphous ribbons were successfully prepared by using the single-roller melt-spinning technique;?2?(Fe70Co6P4.8Si4.8B9.6)100-xCux?x=0,0.1,0.3,0.5?amorphous alloy have good thermal stability.But the thermal stability of(Fe70Co6P4.8Si4.8B9.6)100-xCux?x=0,0.1,0.3,0.5?amorphous alloy gradually decreased while the Cu content increased.When Cu content is 0.5at%,the crystallization temperature of(Fe70Co6P4.8Si4.8B9.6)99.5Cu0.5amorphous alloy rapidly dropped as same as the crystallization activation energy did;?3?(Fe70Co6P4.8Si4.8B9.6)100-xCux?x=0,0.1,0.3,0.5?amorphous ribbons have well soft magnetic properties,including saturation magnetic density?165.86,164.52,158.38,147.04?A·m2?/kg respectively?and coercive force?0.31,0.46,0.29,0.51kA/m respectively?.As the Cu content raised,the saturation magnetic density decreased and the coercive force increased;?4?The soft magnetic properties of annealed(Fe70Co6P4.8Si4.8B9.6)100-xCux?x=0.1,0.3,0.5?amorphous ribbons improved with the saturation magnetic density up to174.67?162.52?152.00?A·m2?/kg respectively.?5?The error of the magnetic moment computed value in the EET theory and the magnetic moment experimental value was less than 12%,which satisfied the first-order approximation.The magnetic moment calculations of amorphous alloy were realized on the valence electron level.It has certain guiding significance to optimize the soft magnetic properties of amorphous alloy and design new component amorphous alloy.
