| On the one hand,water and soil have made one hand a craft,and it has a long history with local flavor.Liu Zongyue,the father of Japanese folk art,once said,"The beauty of craft is especially unique.They are the products of special materials in special places,each of which is the gift of nature." Black pottery was "born" in Longshan,Shandong Province.It was made of mud deposited in the Yellow River,which relied on it for its survival.By using the unique "carburizing firing system",it formed a strong local characteristic and was named "Longshan Culture" by its place name.The "Longshan Culture" of the Neolithic Age has reached its peak,and such unique cultural symbols should be deeply excavated to become a heritage in line with the times.How to use this excellent craft and spread it well requires the creator to understand and appreciate the life of the craft and sublimate it to the depth that the soul longs for.As Hegel said,"Only when art and religion and philosophy are in the same state,can they become a way to understand and express the sacredness,the deepest purport of mankind and the deepest and widest truth of the soul." Only by means can art fulfill its highest duty.As a result,creation becomes a question of the soul and "tells" through appropriate techniques."Creation must be emotional,at least always a little hot"-Lu Xun,the author of this creation as emotional expression of the "narrative" way,carrying out a soul repair,and to achieve self-realization of the wish."Farewell" once became the fuse of the author's emotional outbreak in a certain period of time.The grey atmosphere spread widely and was very similar to the carburizing process of black pottery's strong reduction.Therefore,this craft was taken as the keynote of creation,carrying the author's heart,in other words,forming a more unique "locality",which is called "soul".It is hoped that the viewer will feel it with his heart and at the same time fear the spread of technology and life. |
