Inspired by the "Lotus Effect",superhydrophobic surfaces with excellent properties such as self-cleaning,low resistance,and corrosion resistance have attracted high attentions.So far,researchers have used different materials to fabricate a variety of superhydrophobic surfaces by different technologies.However,most of the results cannot be applied to real life.There are still many problems to be solved:high cost,poor mechanical stability,aging,and difficulty in coating replacement.In this study,the superhydrophobic surfaces prepared by spraying method has the advantages of cost-effectiveness,simple process,aging,and simple replacement.1.Ethylene-polytetrafluoroethylene copolymer/silicon dioxide(ETFE/SiO2)mixture was sprayed on a glass substrate by spraying coating.Using the hydrophobicity of ETFE/SiO2 composite film,ETFE/SiO2 was formed by layer-by-layer deposition process.The surface of the composite film showed a nano-scale rough structure,which resulted in superhydrophobicity:the water contact angle was 159° and the water rolling angle was 2.5°.In the visible range,the ETFE/SiO2 composite superhydrophobic film(CSF)had a transmittance of more than 95%which was over the transmittance of ordinary glass.The ETFE/SiO2 CSF also showed excellent self-cleaning,acid and alkali resistance,abrasion resistance and reproducibility.In addition,a multilayer ETFE/SiO2 CSF structure was designed which to transport easily.2.Using copper mesh as the frame,the ETFE/SiO2 CSF was fabricated on the copper mesh by spraying coating,which greatly increased the mechanical strength of the ETFE/SiO2 CSF.A laser was used to ablate holes on the ETFE/SiO2 CSF to fabricate duo-super-filters(superhydrophobic-superoleophilic filters)with a water contact angle of 1570 and a kerosene contact angle of 0°.The separation efficiency was more than 97%for different types of oil-water mixtures,and it showed good salt tolerance.A water-water separation device designed based on duo-super-filters.
