Research On Company Social Responsibility Information Disclosure Of Listed Companies In Nonferrous Metals Industry

With the rapid development of economy,people pay more and more attention to the shortage of resources,environmental pollution,safety in production.In pursuit of the sustainable development of society,enterprises should actively fulfill their social responsibilities.The nonferrous metal industry is the pillar industry of national economic development,and non-ferrous metal products can be seen everywhere in our daily life.The non-ferrous metal industry is a typical industry with high-energy consumption,high pollution and high risk.In recent years,vicious incidents such as destruction of mines,illegal sewage discharge,and dangerous production have occurred continuously in the non-ferrous metal enterprises.Whether enterprises in non-ferrous metals industry fulfill their responsibilities and disclose effective social information has attracted the attention of society.In order to improve the quality of disclosure of company social responsibility(CSR)information,we need to analyze whether enterprises in the industry have fulfilled their responsibilities,and how their performance behavior disclosed.We need to find out the shortcomings of CSR information disclose,and put forward a feasible disclosure template according to the characteristics of the industry,to standardize the disclosure of social responsibility of the non-ferrous metals industry.In this paper,113 companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange before 2018 are selected.We summarized and analyzed the situation of company social responsibility information disclosure in the whole industry.It is found that the number of companies actively performing their duties in the non-ferrous metal industry is increasing,and the total amount of CSR information released is also increasing,but there are still many problems of CSR information disclosing.The main motivation for enterprises to release information is to respond to the call of the exchange.Most enterprises regard releasing CSR report as one of their own means of expressing their merits.They always hide negative events when disclosing information.Most CSR reports are in text form,which leads to low comparability of information.There is no third party to audit the disclosure content,which reduces the reliability of the information.Based on the financial disclosure system,this paper designs a standardized and high feasibility disclosure CSR information disclosure system of this industry.With the consideration of the compilation process,disclosure framework,disclosure channels and frequency.Firstly,the process of preparing and disclosing CSR reports should be improved.Secondly,a framework of CSR disclosure is designed based on easy-to-measure indicators.The benefit and cost of fulfilling social responsibility are added to existing accounting information disclosure.The framework includes the business philosophy,overall strength,future development,investment security and return potential of enterprises.According to the size of the enterprises,enterprises can choose a concise or detailed disclosure model.Enterprises can publish relevant accountability behavior through the online public platform,the official APP or other channels.These channels increase the frequency of information disclosure.The channels provide stakeholders with the timely and forward-looking information,and increase the accounting participation in economic decision-making.The paper applies the disclosure model to the selected case companies,and provides advice for non-ferrous metal listed companies.Finally,the paper puts forward policy recommendations for better disclosure of social responsibility information in the non-ferrous metals industry.
