With the expanding application of polyamide 6?PA6?,the property requirements of PA6 and its composite materials are getting higher and higher,It is very important to prepare modified PA6 materials with excellent performance.This paper used the self-made toughening agent POE-g-MAH modified the PA6.The main work of this paper included the preparation of POE-g-MAH by melt grafting.The effects of the type of POE product,the amount of DCP,MAH and PP on the grafting ratio and MFR of the graft were investigated.The results showed that when selecting the POE product of DuPont 8842 and the content of DCP,MAH and PP was 0.15%,1.2%and 3%,the toughness agent had the highest grafting rate and moderate MFR.FTIR showed that the absorption peak of C=O in MAH appeared at1792 cm-1,confirming that MAH was successfully grafted onto the POE elastomer.The toughening modification of PA6 was carried out with different content of POE-g-MAH.At 23?C,with 20%POE-g-MAH,the mechanical properties and flow properties of the composites were better.Under low temperature,with the 20%and 30%POE-g-MAH,the impact strength and elongation at break were higher than that of pure PA6,respectively.The SEM showed that the microstructure of the impact section of the composite was a lamellar convex structure,which can absorb a large amount of energy when fractured;DSC showed that the Tg and crystallinity of the composite reduced by the addition of POE-g-MAH;TG analysis found that PA6/POE-g-MAH composites have good thermal stability.Composites were prepared by glass fiber as the reinforcement and self-made POE-g-MAH as the toughening agent.At 23?C,with the toughening agent content increased,the strength of PA6 decreased and the toughness increased.At-50?C,the materials containing 5%of POE-g-MAH,compared to the absence of the toughening agent,the impact strength increased by 21%,and the tensile strength was 181.3 MPa,It not only improved the toughness but also maintained high strength,so that the composite material achieved a rigid toughness balance.SEM showed that good adhesion between GF and PA6 materials,which effectively improved the interface condition of the blend system;DSC showed that adding POE-g-MAH reduced the crystallinity of the composite material;The TG test results showed that the addition of GF and POE-g-MAH did not change the thermal stability of PA6.
