In supramolecular chemistry,metal organic materials with specific structures and functions can be designed by supramolecular self-assembly.Recently,second sphere coordination has become a new self-assembly method.Metal-organic materials are constructed by metal ions and organic protonated ligands via non-convolant interactions,which are showing their fascinating structural topologies and potential applications on gas adsorption,selective gold separation.Solid-state synthesis is becoming more intensely studied,because it can quickly and quantitatively promote reactions among solid compounds,with no added or only small amounts solvent.Solid-gas reactions in crystalline materials are a class of reactions which contribute to know about gas adsorption phenomena and solid-state reaction.Nonporous crystals have also been shown to gas adsorption.Therefore,metal organic salts could be designed by second sphere coordination,which is quickly obtained by solid-state synthesis.Our researches focus on crystalline materials is driven by applications including solid-state reaction and gas adsorption.The ligand N,N'-bis(pyridin-3-methyl)ethylenediamine was designed and synthesized.The salts[H4L]4+-2[MCl4]2-and complex[Zn2(H2L)X6]·Solvent(X = Br,I;Solvent = CH3OH,H2O)were obtained by L and MX2(M=Cu,Zn;X =CI,Br,I),under different inorganic acids(HCI,HBr,HI)and solvents.The crystals were characterized and analyzed by IR,TG,PXRD and SC-XRD.Solution methods could afford single crystal samples to be tested.More crystals were obtained by the solid-state grinding and gas adsorption in a green and high-efficiency manner.In addition,there are some dynamic behaviors in these structures such as the nonporous crystalline,compound 1 and 1' are interconverted by means of HBr/HC1 gas absorption,controlled synthesis of crystals 2 and 2' at different hydrochloric acid concentration as well as 2 is converted to 2' in solution,the guest methanol in crystal 3 is replaced by water molecular at water atmosphere.Moreover,the luminescent properties of salts are also investigated in the solid-state and room temperature.
