As scatted metals,gallium and indium are very important materials because of their good physic-chemical characteristics.They are widely used in high-tech field in recent years.They are maily recovered from other metals as by-products during the production.Therefore,how to separate and recover gallium and indium with an environmentally friendly and efficient way has been a difficult and hot research topic.N-bis(1-methyl heptyl)acetamide solvent impregnation resins(N503 SIRs)were firstly prepared using N503 as the extractant and styrene-divinyl benzene macroporous adsorption resin(HZ818)as the carrier.The adsorption and separation properties of Ga(?)in hydrochloric acid system with N503 SIRs were studied.In addition,hyperbranched polyethylene imine-oxidized carbon fiber(HPEI-OACF)and phytic acid-HPEI-OACF(PA-HPEI-OACF)adsorbents were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis with OACF as the carrier,and the adsorption and separation properties of In(?)in hydrochloric acid system with PA-HPEI-OACF were studied.Ga(?)adsorption of N503 SIRs on hydrochloric acid medium showed that the adsorption capacity was 12.15 mg/g at the the optimal acidity of 3 mol/L.When the concentration of Ga(?)of 20 mg/L,N503 SIRs dose of 200 mg,Ga(?)adsorption rate is above 95%,and Ga(?)concentration in the solution after adsorption below 1 mg/L.The adsorption process of N503 SIRs on Ga(?)conforms to the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation model and Langmuir isothermal adsorption equation model,and it is an endothermic reaction.The adsorption of Ga(?)is monomolecular adsorption.When hydrochloric acid concentration is 3 mol/L,N503 SIRs could selectively adsorb Ga(?)from the binary mixed system of Ga(?)-Cu(II)and Ga(?)-Al(?),and from the ternary mixed system of Ga(?)-Zn(II)-Fe(II).The results of In(?)adsorption by PA-HPEI-OACF in hydrochloric acid medium showed that the adsorption capacity was 29.45 mg/g at the optimal pH 3.5.The process of PA-HPEI-OACF adsorbing In(?)conforms to the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation model and Langmuir isothermal adsorption equation model,which is an endothermic reaction,and the increase of temperature is conducive to the adsorption.The adsorption of In(?)is monolayer adsorption.PA-HPEI-OACF can selectively adsorb In(?)from In(?)-Zn(II)binary mixed system at pH 3.1,and from In(?)-Zn(II)-Cu(II)-Fe(II)multivariate mixed system at pH 3.5.The dynamic process experiment showed that low flow rate and single adsorption column were beneficial to the adsorption of metal ions in hydrochloric acid medium by resin column,while high column had hardly influence on the adsorption process of resin column.The laboratory could adopt the operation process of single resin column with a flow rate of 2 mL/min.
