Under the pressure of economic globalization and huge competition at home and abroad,the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in China is difficult.How to survive better and develop rapidly has become a key issue.The competition of enterprises is essentially the competition of human resources.It has become an urgent problem for small and medium-sized enterprises to construct a scientific and perfect human resources management system.The object of human resource management is human,especially the psychological characteristics of human,which involves the field of psychology.Personality psychology,as a branch of psychological research,mainly studies the differences in abilities,personalities,needs and motivations.Its theoretical knowledge and methods can provide guidance for human resource management.Firstly,through reviewing the relevant research at home and abroad,this paper introduces the relevant theories of personality psychology and human resource management,focusing on personality traits.Secondly,through a case study of L Company through questionnaire survey,it is found that the commonalities and differences of employees’ personality are not fully taken into account in human resource management,such as their personal abilities,gender differences,hobbies and attitudes.There are many problems in human resource management,such as unreasonable post setting and recruitment,imperfect performance appraisal and salary evaluation system,imperfect incentive mechanism,lagging behind in job training and skills development,lack of career planning guidance for employees,insufficient corporate culture construction,etc.To understand and put forward countermeasures and suggestions on how to establish and improve the human resources management system of SMEs,and to provide ideas and methods for SMEs to build a scientific human resources management model.Through this study,I hope to improve the attention of SME managers to employees’ personality,and provide reference for the establishment and development of human resources management system in SMEs.
