As a high molecular polymer, polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)is often used as a slurry or the blending component of a slurry. The PVA wastewater produced after desizing in the textile printing and dyeing industry has high organic content and poor biodegradability. The traditional treatment process does not achieve the desired treatment effect,so it is necessary to find a good method for the effective treatment of PVA wastewater. In this paper, the combined treatment process of coagulation-microwave-enhanced Fenton method is used to test the treatment effect of PVA wastewater, and provide technical support for the desizing wastewater treatment project to reduce the processing pressure of subsequent printing and dyeing wastewater. The test used PVA wastewater as the research object. The combination of static test and dynamic test was used to study the effect and process conditions of coagulation-microwave enhanced Fenton process for PVA wastewater treatment.Study the effect of coagulation on PVA wastewater pretreatment and determine the best coagulation conditions; The Fenton method is used to treat the water after coagulation, and the optimal test conditions are determined by orthogonal test; The microwave-enhanced Fenton method was used to treat the effluent after coagulation, and the optimal experimental conditions were determined. The dynamic treatment effect of coagulation-microwave-enhanced Fenton process on PVA wastewater was studied. The test results of coagulation pretreatment of PVA wastewater showed that the dosage of PAC was 50mL/L,the dosage of PAM was 4mL/L,the pH was 8,and it was stirred rapidly at 250r/min for 30s.Then,after stirring at a speed of 50 r/min for 15 min,the precipitation was 30 min,and the removal rates of COD and PVA were 32.91%and 22.67%.The Fenton method has a good effect on the treatment of PVA wastewater after coagulation,in which the PVA removal rate is over 98%and the COD removal rate is 76.68%.The process conditions are as follows:the dosage of H2O2 is 1.5Qth,the dosage of ferrous sulfate is 40g/L,the pH is 3,and the reaction time is 60min.The microwave-enhanced Fenton process for the treatment of PVA wastewater after coagulation is better than that treated by microwave irradiation method alone and by Fenton method alone. The average COD removal rate is 89.54%,which is 86.42%higher than that treated by microwave irradiation method alone. The removal rate was 12.86%higher than that treated by Fenton method alone. The average removal rate of COD in PVA wastewater treated by coagulation-microwave enhanced Fenton method was 89.37%,the average removal rate of PVA was 96.16%,and PVA was almost completely removed. The COD has been reduced from around 3,000 to around 300.The coagulation-microwave-enhanced Fenton method can effectively reduce the COD concentration and PVA content in PVA wastewater, lay a good foundation for the subsequent treatment of textile printing and dyeing wastewater, and provide technical support for printing and dyeing wastewater treatment projects. The processing method has theoretical guiding significance and practical application value.
