The magnetic needles abrasive finishing process is a kind of magnetic grinding technology.It is a special processing technology that uses the transformed magnetic field force to drive the small magnetic needle to move intensely,so as to realize the finishing of the workpiece surface.The magnetic needles abrasive finishing process has good flexibility and adaptability.It can grind the surface or cavity of various materials and complex workpieces.Compared with the traditional grinding process,it has obvious advantages.Although the magnetic needle grinding technology has been applied in deburring of workpieces,due to the complexity and diversity of the workpiece,the process parameters are mostly determined according to the processing experience in practical application.Therefore,it is necessary to further analyze and study the grinding mechanism of the magnetic needles grinding process,and optimize its process parameters to obtain universal and representative process parameters.In this paper,the magnetic needles grinding equipment is used as a processing device.On the basis of a large number of experiments and analysis of experimental data,the grinding mechanism of magnetic needles abrasive finishing process is discussed and analyzed.The process parameters under multi-performance indexes are optimized by using grey relational theory,and the turbine shaft is taken as an example.Applied research.The specific contents include the following aspects:(1)Introduce the generation of permanent magnet and electromagnetic two kinds of transforming magnetic field.Visualize the size and distribution of magnetic field in magnetic needle grinding equipment by ANSYS Maxwell software,reveal the distribution and movement trend of magnetic needles in two kinds of magnetic field.According to the simulation results,the force of a single magnetic needle is analyzed,and the motion trajectory of a single magnetic needle is analyzed according to the motion form of the magnetic needle in the actual processing,and then the mechanism of magnetic abrasion of the magnetic needle is obtained.(2)The factors affecting the magnetic needles grinding process are analyzed,including the distribution of magnetic field,the type of magnetic needles,the grinding time and the material of workpieces,etc.The relationship between the motion of magnetic needles and the magnetic field distribution and the influence of other factors on the processing effect are further revealed.Taking the aluminium alloy workpiece as the research object,the grey relational theory is used to optimize the process parameters under the multi-performance index,and the optimized process parameters under the multi-performance index and single-performance index are obtained.(3)According to the results of parameter optimization,the magnetic needles grinding technology is used to grind turbine shaft and complex porous parts respectively.The application effect of magnetic needles abrasive finishing process is verified by an application example.Finally,magnetic abrasive grains and magnetic needles are mixed as magnetic abrasives to improve the grinding performance of magnetic needles.
