Dust is ubiquitous and its harm is self-evident.It will not only affect people’s health,cause respiratory diseases,but also cause explosions when the concentration of some dust is high,which seriously threatens the safety of life and property.Therefore,the online detection of dust concentration is very important.However,at present,many devices can only detect the dust concentration at a certain point in the space,and then select multiple points detection to calculate the dust concentration at each point,and take the results as the average concentration in the space.This method has some errors and randomness,so the result is an estimate.The image method is a method of dust concentration detection by image technology.After image processing,the relationship between the average gray level of image and the mean dust concentration is established.The method realizes the accurate detection of the average dust concentration of a section in space,greatly improves the accuracy and convenience of the detection,and reduces the detection cost.This paper mainly designs and studies the application of image technology in dust concentration detection.The work includes the following parts:1.Theoretical basis.By introducing and researching the current common detection methods and principles,the light scattering method is chosen as the basic detection method in this paper.The linear relationship between the scattering light flux of particles and the mass concentration of particles is deduced theoretically,and the linear relationship between the gray value of dust image and the dust concentration is further obtained,which provides a theoretical basis for dust concentration detection by image method.2.Design of detection method.The detection method includes device design and image algorithm.The device design consists of device construction,gas path design and light path design.The image algorithm includes the steps of dust image preprocessing,motion restoration,background elimination and image enhancement.Through this algorithm,the gray mean of dynamic dust image can be calculated,andthe final dust concentration can be obtained from the calibration relationship.3.Analogue simulation.The uniformity of dust concentration distribution is simulated by the Fluent Software.The dust distribution under the influence of various factors is obtained,and the optimal dust detection conditions are determined.4.Experimental study.The calibration formula between image gray level and dust concentration is established to determine the quantitative relationship between them.The minimum value,maximum value and detection accuracy of the image method for detecting dust concentration are calculated,and the stability and uniformity of the method are analyzed,and the errors are calculated.The final results show that the image method meets the expected design requirements.
