Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)materials are porous materials with periodic network structures formed by metal ions or ion clusters coordinated with organic ligands.Because MOFs materials have many excellent characteristics, such as large specific surface area, permanent porosity, tunable pore size and structure, good thermal and chemical stability, which makes the MOFs materials are widely used in gas storage and separation, drug delivery and catalysis.Based on these applications of MOFs materials, the processing of MOFs materials is also growing. In particular, the preparation of MOFs films is a field that has just begun, because it is important for many applications such as chemical sensors membranes. At present, there are many methods for preparing MOFs,such as solvothermal method, liquid phase epitaxy and electrochemical method. The electrochemical method has several advantages over other methods, such as shorter synthesis time and the possibility to control the reaction conditions directly during the synthesis process. So far, there are few reports on the preparation of copper-based MOF(HKUST-1)by the cathodic reduction method because the low reduction potential of copper ions, which could be easily plated on the cathode during electrochemical synthesis. In this project,an oxygen-assisted cathodic electrodeposition method has been used to prepare pure phase HKUST-1 films on a variety of substrates successfully. The research work consists of the following three parts:(1)Preparing HKUST-1 films using a two-electrode system and exploring the effects of experimental conditions on the quality of the films;(2)The reaction mechanism of HKUST-1 thin films prepared by oxygen-assisted cathodic electrodeposition was systematically investigated by cyclic voltammetry;(3)The effects of different experimental conditions such as voltage, temperature and reaction time on the film quality were explored under the three-electrode system, and the applicability of this method to other conductive substrates and to other MOFs materials was preliminarily explored.
