With the aggravation of dust pollution and the continuous improvement of national requirements for pollutant discharge, dust removal technology is also constantly improving and developing. At present, the wet dust collector is widely used because of its simple structure, high dust removal efficiency, and ability to handle high temperature, high humidity and flammable gases. The conventional wet dust collector has the disadvantages of high energy consumption, large water consumption, and low ability to remove fine dust particles. This paper designs and develops a new three-stage composite wet dust removal system, which removes dust particles of different particle sizes through a combination of multiple dust removal modules to improve dust removal efficiency and achieve deep dust removal. In this paper, the design of the dust collector is based on the physical and chemical properties of the dust particles and the wet dust removal mechanism, including the dust-containing gas generation system, the three-stage dust removal system, the spray water treatment and circulation system, and the measurement and control system. The dust-containing gas entering the dust collector reaches the dust-containing discharge standard through spray sedimentation, filler falling film washing, mesh interception and electrostatic adsorption, and at the same time realizes the effect of dehydration and defogging.Factors affecting the performance of the precipitator mainly include the height of the packing layer, the amount of spray water, the grid rotation speed, the amount of flue gas treatment, and the dust inlet concentration. An experimental scheme was developed to conduct an experimental study on the dust removal efficiency and pressure drop loss of the precipitator using the principle of controlling a single variable. The experimental results show that in the range of gas flow rate of 3~14 m~3/min,when the dust inlet concentration is 2.70 g/m~3,the outlet concentration reaches 8.75 mg/m~3 or less, and the dust removal efficiency exceeds 99.68%,showing excellent dust removal performance. The pressure drop loss of the precipitator is mainly located in the packing layer and the inlet and outlet pipes, wherein the pressure drop in the exhaust pipe accounts for the largest proportion.Gas flow rate is an important factor affecting the pressure drop of the dust collector. The increase of air volume will increase the pressure drop significantly. The performance study of the three-stage composite wet dust collector will help the design and industrial application of the new high-efficiency dust collector.
