Objectives:1.In order to reduce the agglomeration of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles?MNPs?and improve its dispersion and stability,Iron trioxide nanoparticles?MNPs?were modifiedbythesulfobetaine?DMT?andthiobetaineanaloguesS,S-dimethyl-?-propionate?DMPT?.The particle size,dispersion and magnetism of the two modified nanoparticles were discussed and compared.2.Two kinds of modified MNPs were used as adsorbents to adsorb aniline dye methyl blue and azo dye amaranth in aqueous solution respectively,and their application in the direction of dye adsorption was explored.Methods:1.The sulfobetaine?DMT?and S,S-dimethyl-?-propionate?DMPT?,as an analog of sulfobetaine,also have cheap price,good biocompatibility and water solubility.Two new ferroferric oxide nano-particles DMNPs and DPMNPs were synthesized by a chemical co-precipitation method under aerobic conditions,and the modified MNPs increased water solubility and enhanced the dispersibility.2.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy?FTIR?,X-ray powder diffraction?XRD?,high power transmission electron microscopy?TEM?andmagnetic performancewere?VSM?were used to analyze the structure,morphology,size and properties of DMNPs and DPMNPs.3.The ultrasonic DMNPs and DPMNPs were mixed with methyl blue of aniline dye respectively by shaking bed.The absorbance value was measured by ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer,the curve was calculated and drawn,the adsorption performance was evaluated and the adsorption principle was analyzed.After that,the nano-particles were recovered by external magnetic field,and the regeneration performance was determined by alkaline elution.4.The adsorption of amaranth azo dye amaranth by DMNPs and DPMNPs was determined by the same method above.Results:1.Sulfobetaine?DMT?and S,S-dimethyl-?-propionate?DMPT?were successfully combined with Fe3O4 to form DMNPs,DPMNPs with good water solubility,small particle size and high specific surface area.2.The adsorption performance of DMNPs and DPMNPs on methyl blue was good,and the adsorption performance of DMNPs on methyl blue was better than that of DPMNPs after five times recovery,which indicated that its regeneration performance was good,and the adsorption property of DMNPs to methyl blue was better than that of DPMNPs.And the raw material DMT is cheaper and more environmentally friendly.3.DMNPs has good adsorption capacity for amaranth,but DPMNPs has poor adsorption for amaranth.Conclusions:1.The MNPs modified with amphoteric surfactant sulfobetaine showed the common characteristics of small particle size,good dispersibility,good water solubility and high magnetic induction intensity.2.The amphoteric surfactant sulfobetaine series modified MNPs have good adsorption effect on anionic dyes after protonation to a certain extent,and the regeneration performance is good.The MNPs modified by betaine series has a potential application prospect.
