Organic sulfur compounds have a wide range of applications in pharmaceutical compounds and synthetic materials.The C-S bond is usually present in natural products and biologically active compounds,so the formation of C-S bonds is of great research significance.At present,a large number of methods for the C-S coupling reaction to construct a C-S bond have been reported,but each of these reactions has its advantages and disadvantages and its scope of application.Among them,the transition metal catalyzed C-S coupling reaction is the most commonly used and effective means in the C-S bond synthesis reaction.However,transition metals have their own limitations,such as high price,high toxicity,prone to side reactions,and easy to inactivate.Based on the limitations of transition metal catalysts,this paper intends to replace the transition metal with a cheap and readily available inorganic salt as a catalyst to induce the coupling reaction of C-S bond.Firstly,briefly introduces the background of sulfur chemistry and the types and properties of sulfur-containing compounds.The synthesis process of organic sulfides,that is,the research progress of C-S coupling reactions,mainly reviews the research progress of transition metal-catalyzed C-S bond cross-coupling reactions,such as Palladium,copper,nickel,etc.;and the idea of inorganic salt catalyzed construction of C-S bond is proposed.Then,reports the reaction of an inorganic base to catalyze the direct action of a thiol with a carboxylic acid to form a thioester.Under the activation of hydrosilane and the catalysis of potassium phosphate,the reaction energy barrier of direct reaction of thiol with carboxylic acid was broken,and thioester was successfully synthesized in air atmosphere,and a new method for synthesizing thioester was developed.Finally,reports the nucleophilic substitution reaction of nitroaromatic compounds catalyzed by inorganic bases.Different from the previous concept of nucleophilic substitution reaction,using halogen or halogen-like as a leaving group,we developed a denitrification nucleophilic substitution reaction and successfully realized the construction of C-S bond.In summary,this paper realized the direct thioesterification reaction of thiol with carboxylic acid through inorganic base catalyst,and also realized the denitrification coupling reaction between thiol and activated nitrobenzene.The catalytic effect of inorganic salts on the construction of C-S bonds was confirmed.
