| As one of the most important parts of automobile spare parts,automobile ball head pin has many processing methods.However,the traditional processing methods are mainly cutting and thermal forming,with insufficient mechanical properties,low efficiency and high cost,which are difficult to meet the growing demand for products.Cold forming is an advanced near-net forming process with less cutting,which has advantages in quality,performance,production efficiency and economy.Based on plastic forming theory and CAE numerical simulation technology,the feasibility study of cold forming of ball pin is carried out in this paper.According to the simulation results,cold forging and plate wedge rolling forming are both theoretically feasible.On this basis,the mold design and trial production of products,product performance testing,to provide a basis for the actual production.The main conclusions of this research are as follows:(1)According to the structure of the ball head pin in this subject,the cold forging forming scheme of the ball head pin is preliminarily designed as follows: cutting-drawing-ball head preforming-ball head upsetting-cold heading extrusion;Reasonable material flow,full filling,the plan is feasible;(2)The forming technology of plate type cross wedge rolling is as follows: cutting-wedge entry-expansion-finishing-unloading-turning and cutting off;shrink neck and other defects,the material flow is reasonable,the plan is feasible;(3)According to the simulation results,compared with the cold forging process and wedge rolling process,the cold forging process is smaller in terms of load and stress strain and easier to form.The cold forging process is selected for forming in the economic and practical conditions;(4)Ball head forming parameters of cold forging technology parameters optimization,combined with the orthogonal experiment and numerical simulation technology,get the friction factor,the most profound effect on the forming optimal taper Angle is 15 °,die entrance rounded to 4 mm;(5)In view of the difficulty of the ball head pin demoulding,the floating die is adopted to demoulding smoothly.Compared with the combination mold,the integral mold bears more stress,and the combination mold is more reasonable. |
