The oligothiophene and derivatives are a class of excellent organic semiconductor materials.We designed receptor-donor-receptor?A-D-A?moleculer.We report that the synthesis of 2,5"-biformyl-3',4'-ethylenedioxy-5,2':5',2"-terthiophene?TET-2CHO?,[?3',4'-ethylenedioxy-5,2':5',2"-terthiophene?-5",5'-diyl]-bis?2-cyano-N-octylacetamide??TET-DC-NC8?,[?3',4'-ethylenedioxy-5,2':5',2"terthiophene?-5",5'-diyl]-bis?2-cyano-N-octadecylaceta-mide?(TET-DCNC18),[?5,2':5',2"-terthiophene?-5",5'-diyl]-bis?2-cyano-N-octylacetamide??3T-DCNC8?.Their structures were characterized and confirmed by MS,1H NMR,13C NMR and FTIR.???The results showed that the target compound had good stability,wherein the TET-2CHO had a thermal weight loss of 5%at 331 C.Since the molecule contained an amide group,3T-DCNC8,TET-DCNC8 and TET-DCNCis showed crystallinity at room temperature.Further,TET-DCNC18 has a long alkyl chain which has not only crystallinity but also liquid crystallinity at 73 C.It was found that the presence of EDOT resulted in a red shift in the UV-vis absorption of TET-DCNCs and TET-DCNC18 compared to 3T-DCNC8,with a reduced band gap.The electrochemical band gaps of TET-DCNCs and TET-DCNC1s are 1.92 eV and 1.97 eV,respectively.The target compound was used as an active material,and its application in photovoltaic devices?OPV?and electrochromic devices?ECD?was studied.The open circuit voltages of OPV based on four target compounds?device structure:ITO/active materials/PTCDA/Al?are 1.26 V,0.89 V,0.83 V,and 0.88 V,respectively.The short-circuit currents were 2.03 mA·cm-2,2.41 mA·cm-2,3.89 mA·cm-2,and 1.21 mA·cm-2,respectively,and the photoelectric conversion efficiencies are 0.59%,0.46%,0.84%,and 0.34%,respectively.ECD?device structure:ITO/active materials/liquid electrolyte/ITO?can be orange to pale yellow and yellow under the applied electric field.The reversible color change from green to dark yellow,orange to orange and deep red to orange.Optical contrast are:53%,54.8%,39.4%and 40.7%.
